"We stayed here for 3 nights to escape the heat of Budapest, the resort is beautiful and well looked after. There is very little we could fault, the only exceptions was a rude man working at the spa who made us feel like we were interrupting his peace, and the automatic 15% service charge added whenever ordering anything from the spa. We asked for an icecream which they took from a freeze in the back room and yes 15% service charge added. The food was lovely for breakfast, and the dinner was good...

Top Bér Hotel Reviews

Erzsebet Kiralyne Hotel

Erzsebet Kiralyne Hotel

8/10 Good
"I'd happily stay again at the Hotel Queen Elizabeth in Gödöllo, which is essentially a suburb of Budapest, Hungary. Everything was great with one exception, which was the temperature. Even though it was cold outside much of the time, the hotel was too warm for my taste and the thermostat in my room seemed to do nothing. Eventually, I just opened the window to get come cool fresh air. At least it was possible to open the windows, that's often not possible. Overall, the hotel building is charming, everything worked, the staff were great and the breakfast was excellent, and served in a beautiful restaurant. Hungary is a beautiful safe country with a fascinating history and Gödöllo is full of pleasant polite people. It was particularly lovely when I was there at the end of October, with the many trees showing autumn colors. The whole experience there was good enough to make me want to go back and take my wife."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bér?
The best area to stay in Bér is within the village centre itself, particularly around the main square and along Kossuth Lajos Street.

This central part of Bér offers a genuine village experience. You'll find traditional Hungarian houses, often with colourful facades, and it's where the local community gathers. The church is a prominent landmark, and the surrounding streets are quiet and pleasant for a stroll.

For couples looking for a peaceful retreat, staying in the heart of Bér is ideal. You'll be close to local eateries and can easily explore the village's heritage on foot.
When is the best time to go to Bér?
The best time to visit Bér is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) when the weather is pleasant and the natural surroundings are at their most appealing.

During these months, you'll experience mild temperatures, superb for exploring the Hungarian countryside. The spring brings blooming flowers and lush greenery, while autumn offers beautiful foliage and comfortable conditions for outdoor activities without the peak summer heat. These periods also tend to be less crowded than the height of summer, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable trip.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find these seasons particularly appealing. You can enjoy strolls through the scenic landscapes, perhaps visiting the nearby Novohrad-Nógrád Geopark for a hike, or simply relaxing in a tranquil setting. The pleasant weather allows for al fresco dining and enjoying the quiet charm of the village.

Families will also appreciate the comfortable temperatures, making outdoor excursions with children much more enjoyable. There are opportunities for gentle walks, picnics, and exploring the local area without the intensity of summer heat or the chill of winter.
