"More Than a Room" guest house is located a 1/2 block from the Mississippi River in the heart of Bellevue, Iowa. The house is walking distance from downtown restaurants and night life. Walk the beautiful Bellevue River front or up to the lookout at Bellevue State park. Easy access to the snow mobile and ATV / UTV trails.

This 1960's built ranch home has some of it's original charm. The house is comfortable and well suited for family groups, girls weekends, wedding quests, boaters or a couples get-away. The house sleeps up to six people. The front and back bedrooms each have one king size bed that can be separated into two twin beds. The living room sofa converts to a queen sofa sleeper. Off street parking will accommodate two cars. The dine-in kitchen is well equipped. Thef, deck furniture, a charcoal grill, bedding and towels.

Pets are welcome. Must be crated when allow and not allowed on furniture. There is a baby gate that can be used to keep them in the kitchen. Pet owner must pick up after their pets.

Cute simple home & a great hub.
Great hub for our two day stay to explore Dubuque & the river. Enjoyed hanging out on the front porch watching so many different kinds of birds ( saw pelicans, eagles, vultures etcetera!). Also loved that we could cross the street and stroll the scenic river walk. Lori was very responsive to all of our prep emails. Would definitely reccomend for those looking for a quiet stay in the area.

Cute House - Pretty Town!
We came in for a girls weekend getaway. Lori and Terry’s house was perfect for our stay! So cute and comfortable! It had everything we needed including the perfect location for a trip to the area state parks as well as some fun shopping in Dubuque. Both Terry and Lori were very accommodating and quickly responded to any questions we had. Highly recommend - we plan to come again!

Cute Little Gem in a Great Location
Well kept and clean, this house was super close to a riverview park, as well as the quaint downtown area. A beautiful state park was 5 minutes up the road. We had our dog along with us, and she enjoyed many long walks throughout the area. We would love to return in the future. Highly recommended this place!

Great Family Weekend Getaway
This house was perfect for our family of 7 to take a quick weekend trip before school started. The kids loved being able to walk to the river and watch the barges. Stopping by the little shops along the main street and going bowling was one of our favorite things. Was an hour from the Field of Dreams and not far from the Maquoketa caves, which were both on our to-dos for the trip!

We loved the location of this property. It was very easy to find and very clean. I did notice a lack of basic necessities like sugar in the cupboard but there was plenty of salt and pepper. Overall a perfect place to stay for a short or long trip to the area.

Nice little home, basement area really nice. Quiet neighborhood. Great supply of towels. Only negative is the dining room table is wobbley and tilts badly. We only had 1 1/2 roll of toilet paper. Could not locate more. Would rent again. Thank you.

Wonderful little cottage
Half block from the Mississippi. The mile-long park along the river is great for walking and taking in the sights. Lori was VERY responsive and nice. Had a great time. River flooding from the heavy snow melt was no issue.
