What a lovely surprise in the middle of nowhere!!! My only complaint...MOSQUITOES...but that's not their fault! We stayed for one night on our way driving from Skagway, AK to Washington State. There are very few lodges or hotels along the way, this was a pleasant surprise. It is a nice complex of four-plex lodges, we had a large room with two beds and a great bathroom.
I'm sorry we didn't stay longer, there is hiking, heli skiing in the winter, and activities on site that we didn't take advantage of.
We checked into our room in the late afternoon and took advantage of the Alaskan sun by making a side trip to Stewart, BC into Hyder, AK. This drive is not to be missed, the glacier comes right down to the river, we were driving on the opposite side and had a beautiful day. We saw many black bears, saw one brown bear in the evening, we marked the mileage marker and saw him/her again the next morning!
I don't know what the prices are during the ski season, but it was very reasonable for the size of the room and amenities. Would love to stay here again and spend more time.
