Great location and well maintained lodge with friendly staff. The main downsides are: there is a big difference between the marketing on the website and reality (no hiking options unlike advertised, very limited restaurant menu unlike advertised), the room was full of mosquitoes which drove us crazy and the staff was not very knowledgeable about the area and couldn’t answer any of our questions.

It was expensive. Staff was great.. kitchen cooking was a bit in need.. veggies served cold. Potatoes hard, cold and uneatable..but service staff was very good and replaced our food.. second time was very good.

Stop on the Cassiar
Beautiful lodge on the Cassiar. The restaurant was very good, the room was comfortable and spacious. The scenery was beautiful. We saw a bear right behind our chalet. The hot tub was awesome after a long day in the car. The reason I am rating it 3☆ instead of 5 is that the price was pretty high. I understand that running a remote location is costly but for the price it is an insult to be given a prepaid card for 1 hour of wifi only. We were also really looking forward to the in room fireplace (which is why we booked the deluxe room instead of the standard) but were told it was not operational when we asked for matches to light it.

Hello Christopher, thank you for staying with us at Bell 2 Lodge and taking the time to offer some feedback on your experience. In regards to our WIFI service, being as remote as we are poses a problem with providing some services that are common place in many other lodging situations. Being able to provide our guests with what is unfortunately a limited signal bears a significant cost to our business which we do not recover. We do this as we know it is important for most travelers who stay with us to be able to access WIFI. The fireplace not being operational was a mistake on our part, you should have been provided the necessary tools to enjoy this amenity, I will make sure to correct this right away, my apologies for the inconvenience and I hope you will stay with us again.

Staff seemed tired and a bit stressed. There was only 1 person waiting the dining room for all guests. Foe the price of the hotel, there should be more service up front.

Extremely over-priced. They got you on the over-priced room, over-priced gas, and over-priced meals. I have drove through Bell 2 several times and have always wanted to stay, but one night, 14 hours later and $500 shorter, kind of took that away.

Beautiful lodge, right on the river. We arrived late but the stuff was super nice and already had our keys and receipt ready. We had no problems with our pets and even to our surprise found a dog bed underneath the bed.

Pricey
Beautiful, clean cabin room. Beds were comfortable. No hot water after second shower. Location remoteness should not be the reason for charging $7. for a bag of chips. Nor charging $11:20 (included in the room price) for 1 hour of internet. The resort is on a highway leading to our home in the Yukon. We were warned, but despite keeping the door closed we were bothered by mosquitoes all night long.

Thanks for staying with us Irene, i apologize for running out of hot water in your cabin during your stay, we are actually in the midst of a large renovation which will include our plumbing infrastructure. Being as remote as we are there is an added expense to get some of these services up here to offer to our guests, hope to see you again!

Bell 2 Heli Lodge
A great place to stay as only 4 units per log cabin so very quiet. buffet breakfast was good with very good selection from hot and cold and standard fare of Bacon and eggs etc. Because of the location it is a bit pricey although a much cheaper rate came on this site a day or 2 before I left but did not try to change my res.

A real gem in the middle of nowhere. Very comfortable huge rooms. Good food in the restaurant. It has a hot tub but frankly it felt kind of taken over by the live in staff in the evening so I didn’t use it though surely wanted to after several days in the road with a motorcycle.

Great accommodation
A great place to stay on the Stewart Cassiar Highway. Rooms were clean, comfortable and full of character. The restaurant offered great meals and staff were friendly and helpful.

Great lodge in a remote area. We stayed here one night while passing through on our way north to Alaska from Seattle. The staff were professional and courteous, the room was clean and comfortable, and the entire property was well-maintained. We used the hot tub and the sauna, (which were amazing!), and had dinner at the on-site restaurant. We highly recommend the dinner, and the delicious local beer they had available from Terrace, B.C. We will be back!

A nice remote lodge in the Canadian forest. We stopped by on our way from Alaska to Texas. Not very busy this time of year. Nice facility with laundry and exercise room. Expresso bar! Rare in Canada. Nice spacious room with woodstove. Good price and accept dogs!

Sanctuary in a pretty remote part of BC. After a long day on the road -- the restaurant and clean/comfy room was greatly appreciated. This is not a very large (# of rooms) property so BOOK in advance.

The cabin nd were clean and beds and bath new and comfortable. Hours for breakfast should be earlier than 7:00 am for summer travelers in BC. At least early coffee or fruit etc should have been available. Would have been nice to have access to board games or cards with no tv and limited internet access.

The facility was nice, but the room was infested with misquitoes and due to the location, we did not have any bug spray. It took us over an hour to kill hundreds in our room before we made a tent using the other beds linen. This allowed us to have 10 min intervals of sleep before we woke to kill the bugs that made their way into the tent. For the $250.00/night charge, this should not have been the case. We should have left and slept in our truck for the night instead of being exhausted the next day for a long drive we were on. The more I think about our experience, I wish I would have asked for some king of compensation or decrease in the room rate. This is likely a lovely lodge in the winter months.

Not What We Expected
Room was not what we expected. No heat, no TV, no Telephone. Was very clean by was infested with mosquitoes. We returned to the lodge and spoke to the staff and brought our concerns up with them. They immediately understood our concern and cheerfully and quickly processed credit back to ur Credit Card and we were on our way. Very professional way they handled an awkward situation. Staff to be complimented for their attitude and work.

As for the heat there is thermostat controls in the rooms, we will be assessing these and making sure that they are all in working order, we have also installed new screens properly fitted in all our guest cabins. Hello Stephen, thank you for staying with us. Since your stay we have taken steps to help control those pesky mosquitoes in the rooms. Unfortunately it is an uphill battle to try and control them on the outside, June is a hard month to be outdoors up here.

Comfortable overnight stop.
This was a stop over as part of a larger drive. We appreciated the early check in. It is quite remote so dinner option is essentially the on premises restaurant. 3 course set menu which was good. The jacuzzi area became a little noisy later in the evening but overall reasonably quiet place. Beds very comfortable and room very clean. I would stay again.

Lovely lodge in the middle of nowhere
What a lovely surprise in the middle of nowhere!!! My only complaint...MOSQUITOES...but that's not their fault! We stayed for one night on our way driving from Skagway, AK to Washington State. There are very few lodges or hotels along the way, this was a pleasant surprise. It is a nice complex of four-plex lodges, we had a large room with two beds and a great bathroom. I'm sorry we didn't stay longer, there is hiking, heli skiing in the winter, and activities on site that we didn't take advantage of. We checked into our room in the late afternoon and took advantage of the Alaskan sun by making a side trip to Stewart, BC into Hyder, AK. This drive is not to be missed, the glacier comes right down to the river, we were driving on the opposite side and had a beautiful day. We saw many black bears, saw one brown bear in the evening, we marked the mileage marker and saw him/her again the next morning! I don't know what the prices are during the ski season, but it was very reasonable for the size of the room and amenities. Would love to stay here again and spend more time.

Everything I Needed Was Right There!
If you want to be out in the middle of nowhere, this is it. That is not a bad thing at all. Turns out that was just what I needed that night. No cell service and no television. No problem. Communication was not impossible, so everyone who needed to know where I was knew. I had an urgent medical problem that the staff took care of immediately. If I was in the middle of my home town, I would not have been taken care of any better, Thank you for you prompt care. This was just a one night d=stay on a long journey, but I can't think of a better place to spend a night.

Great Atmosphere
This is a great cabin get-away place with very nice facilities and amazing staff. The restaurant has great food and service and the cabins are clean and give you a great lodge feel. We were there in early June, the only thing to be aware of is mosquitos outside but indoors everything was amazing!

Pour 250$ une nuit : réception loin, guêpes infiltrées dans la chambre, internet payant (1 heure dans le prix de la chambre 24,50$), pas de télévision, pas de déjeuner, rien autour, pas de bouchon pour le bain et trappe à souris sous le lit.
