Our flight was cancelled on 21st Jan due to Isha storm at Belfast. After waiting so long at the airport, we had a late booking at Holiday Inn. By the time we arrived at the hotel, it was about 11 pm. The receptionist wasn't friendly and helpful at all. We asked if their kitchen was open that time, he said 'no'. We had to go out to get take away food in that strong storm and had a seat when back and started eating on the table in the reception area. It was about midnight. The night shift receptionist (different from the first one during check in) said something to us further away from his desk, he didn't even approach us. We didn't really hear that, we thought he was kindly asking us not to leave anything behind us. We didn't think we were getting told off. After a couple of minutes, he came closer and literally said in a very very rude way 'this is my second time I am saying you, you can't eat here. We have a 24 hours open kitchen.Take your food in your room. ' We were shocked. We tried to explain that we asked about the kitchen when we came and we were told 'no'. He didn't even listen, kept telling the same. After waiting so long in the airport with stress, we didn't expect to be told off in the hotel by the staff. Very terrible experience, we will never go to this hotel again.
