This place is disgusting! The bathrooms are filthy with dirt, soap residue and bugs. The pillows smelled like old man hair grease. I gagged when I smelled it. I did not stay! I left and went to another hotel and paid for another room and it’s clean and the pillows don’t smell and I didn’t see any ripped carpet or bugs. Expedia wouldn’t help with me a refund and either would the hotel even though I was there for 5 minutes. I also felt as though my safety was in jeopardy and again Expedia or the hotel seemed to be concerned.

I liked the layout of the hotel and amenities . I didn't understand the trashliners not being in the trash cans. We as the guests of the hotel had to complete the task for lining the trash cans in our rooms everyday. I found that very strange.

I was napping in my room shortly after checking in at 3 when a man tried to enter my room. No Knock. No announcement of who they were. I was so AFRAID ! I called downstairs and the front desk was like “oh maybe it was housekeeping “. They showed me no sense of heighten awareness like myself. I put on my shoes went downstairs to the front desk and expressing my concern of some strange person coming in my room. It ended up being housekeeping but why did he need to come in my room after I checked in? I could have been nude showering etc. Needless to say I immediately checked out and went to stay elsewhere I will never stay at this property ever again. They showed me no evidence that they actually were concern about my safety.

It seems like it was a nice property at one point that is now run down! The bathroom was not clean and the bed mattress is worn out! It was hot and the people were very loud in the hallway and next door! We got 0 rest!

The hotel was nice enough. We were put outside the elevator so we heard loud dings all night. Also the doors slam if you let them shut by themselves. Very loud. Workers were very nice and helpful. Room did not smell which is huge for us!

Average. Could have been cleaner but wasn't filthy. Could use renovation, broken fixtures in room and the building itself seems outdated. Friendly staff, ac/heater worked perfect and no problem with water pressure. Breakfast was nothing special

I'd be willing to call this hotel iconic, though I know very little about the Gulf Coastal Plain scene. It is not a posh hotel in the Four Seasons, Omni, Ritz kind of way. It has a character all its own (post-modern is what architectural historians would say, though that does not convey the full charm, nor the religious association of the hotel). All the basics were more than met (cleanliness, safety, amenities) so I was free to enjoy the ornament, decor, and neon signage at night.
