"Great get away, remote yet within easy reach of Nevada City and Grass Valley. Was a wonderful place for our post-thanksgiving family retreat (7 people, ages 17-83 plus dogs) where we bonded with lots of good conversation in the lovely house which is well designed with open spaces. Secure gated area for dogs which is very nice. Lovely property to stroll around. Recommend day trip to Empire Mine and to Nevada City. Overall, a terrific visit"

"We had a great stay at this location. We had a fairly large group (8 adults, 4 children). There was plenty of space to relax, and most importantly enough bathrooms to accommodate our group. Scott was a fantastic host and was incredibly communicative during our stay. This was the first time we've been to the Donner/Lake Tahoe area during the summer, and it was a great experience. "

"The location near the Cascade Canal Trail and the proximity to town are two great reasons to stay, but the house is just so comfortable! Beautiful views from every window. Large, nicely designed and well appointed kitchen and each living area a place to mingle and share time with family and friends. The bathrooms are beautiful and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
