Top Baumhoff Lake Hotel Reviews

Tru By Hilton Comstock Park Grand Rapids

8/10 Good

"The hotel was very nice and once we were checked in we had no issues. We did have problems with checking in and having to make multiple phone calls to the hotel staff the day of, as there was some confusion with payments. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and call in advance to confirm!"

Hyatt Place Grand Rapids Downtown

10/10 Excellent

"A very nice hotel with a wonderful staff. The room and the public areas were really quite nice. I loved the bathroom, although I could use a makeup light The king bed seemed suspiciously small. I wonder if it is smaller. I didn’t have a tape measure with me to prove myself right, but I actually went up to the desk and said, I think you gave me a room with the queen bed. They looked it up and said, oh no that room has a king bed in it I have only the very tiniest complaint: a pretty good breakfast set up, but man were the scrambled eggs rubbery. I don’t even know how you get that texture."

JW Marriott Hotel Grand Rapids

10/10 Excellent

"Very clean room and bathroom, parking was validated and wonderful staff. We arrived 1 hr after check-in and our room was not ready yet, took like 45min more to have it ready. Front desk offered their apologies and gave us breakfast buffet for free next day and that was wonderful. The spa sauna, steam room and pool were fantastic."

Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown by IHG

8/10 Good

"We had a very comfortable and clean room 10/31. The bed slept very nicely! Where the problem arose for me was the next morning. When I went down to get a couple of muffins for breakfast, I was directed over to their little mini store area and there was nothing there for breakfast. Like muffins or any real substance? So I was directed by someone else over to the restaurant where they had plenty of muffins. I was gonna grab a couple and the very same woman that had directed me over to the non-existing breakfas in the little store, then asked me, was I going to be having breakfast? I said, no I just want a couple of muffins to bring back up to the room. I was then told I couldn't have one. I didn't understand this at all. I can't just get a couple of muffins to take up to my room.? I've got to buy a whole breakfast? You don't have them available over in your little store. I'm sorry, that's just the way it is, she said. That was the most asinine experience I have ever had at a hotel/restaurant. Very poor service, very unprofessional."

"Great location in downtown GR. 2 block walk to the music venues 30 Monroe and Vanandel. Security was present at the door. Nice simple room with a great bed. We parked around the corner at the parking garage for $24. Will stay again."
