« River’s Bend was one of our favorite western VA cabin stays to date. Its location is unique - remote enough for dark skies and the sounds of wildlife, with the thrill of the train when it makes its way through the tunnel under the property. The cabin is so cozy, the beds firm and very comfortable. I slept so well every night. We loved the screened in porch, and the river lookout off the tiered back deck. « Dave was absolutely wonderful to communicate with during this stay. The cabin was fantastic, spotless, very cozy and adequately equipped. The fireplace is beautiful and we loved the wraparound decks.The bed linens were very high quality and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. There were snacks, coffee and tea available as well as drinks in the fridge which was an extremely nice touch and much appreciated. If you like higher end shampoo/conditioner/soap you'll want to bring some of your own,...

« We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the amenities. Everything was as described. Eric was in communication quickly when needed.This vacation was relaxing and the view plus the wildlife was awesome. The sunsets each night made each day special.We stayed in last summer so as expected this is a winter resort and in summer there is not as much hustle and bustle on the mountain and that made it a perfect getaway.Our 88-year-old father had his first s'more in over 20 years and loved every minute of...
