If you're looking for a quite, secure and lovely vacation that is Pet Friendly and close to nature then this is the spot. Our log cabin has a large covered front porch with 2 rocking chairs and a large deck on the back of the cabin with a table and 4 chairs. The cabin is heated and cooled for year around use. It also has a Jotel wood stove and firewood is available for $20.00 per wood box full. Please let the owners know in advance if you want firewood and it will be available when you check in. The cabin has a fully functional kitchen, with a double sink, bar with bar stools, microwave and stocked with everything you need to prepare your favorite meal. The bath has a Beautiful Hand Carved Red Wood sink, a full size tub and shower and commode. It is fully furnished with everything you need except your personal items. The down stairs bedroom has a twin bed and a full size closet. There is a dining room table with chairs located next to the kitchen. The living room features a Beautiful Antler Chandelier and an entertainment center with satellite TV and WY Fi There's a beautiful wooden staircase that leads to the loft which has a queen size bed overlooking the Beautiful Antler Chandelier that lights up the living room area. This bedroom also has a lounge chair for relaxing after a long day exploring the beautiful outdoors. There is a washer and dryer in the basement that is available for long term visitors ( 5 days or more). You're only 15 minutes from The World Renowned Omni Homestead, 3.7 miles from the Warm Springs Pools, 60 miles from Snowshoe Resort and 1 hour from The Greenbrier in White Sulphur, West Va. This cabin is located 10 minutes from the U S Forest Service Hidden Valley Recreational Area which has trout fishing, bird watching, hiking and mountain bike trails. Your only 30 minutes from Lake Moomaw which has boating, fishing, tubing, picnicking and camping. This cabin has it's own private entrance, parking area and also an out building to park your Mt. bikes in. We enjoyed a bonfire at night and watching an incredible night sky with thousands of bright stars. It's a brief drive to the soaking pools and two incredible restaurants for dinner too. We planned this trip for our grandaughter who recently graduated high-school. She enjoyed it very much ! Warm Springs Pools are just 8 minutes away. My Wife and granddaughter did the 50 min soak and both felt incredibly refreshed afterwards. There are nice restaurants near by and we drove up to the waterfall on 220 about 35 minutes away. There is lots of hiking but we don't hike. We just sat on the porch and the back deck and enjoyed the sound of nature. We also enjoyed the hummingbirds drinking from the feeder on the front porch. It was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Additionally it was in a perfect spot to explore the area. Trails were accessible from the property but we were also not far from many adventureous spots. We went seeking a quiet getaway from Fourth of July fireworks and were not disappointed. Peaceful, beauotful, and probably the most relaxing weekend we have had in a while. ##### Amy F. We love to stay in cabins and this one of John and Linda's is one of the best!!!!! It is everything and more as described. I'm already trying to plan to return again and hopefully, we will be able to spend a week. But this was a working vacation so we need to return to enjoy the cabin more. Loved all the older antique furnishings, the homey touch, and of course the porch ! The photos do on do it justice. We fell in love with this little house the second we opened the door. The owners John and Linda live in the property next door. They checked in with us to see if we needed anything. They have walking trails on the property mapped out. We came up with the Jackson River Marathon.
