My 17 year old son and I stayed at the Casa for 3 days during our World Cup Adventure. It was an excellent exprience. The owner is very pleasant and knowledgable and an excellent host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We felt connected to the Brazilian locals, yet separated enough to have all the comforts of North America.
Nice hotel with included breakfast. Staff didn't speak much English, and didn't smile a whole lot. Great location on the ocean and in the middle of Barra. Easy walking distance to some restaurants and venues.

An imposing, modern building, looking directly onto the beach of one of Brazil's most picturesque spots: Salvador de Bahia …More
The first European explorers to reach Salvador settled in what is now Barra. The 16th century Farol da Barro fort offers an ideal spot to watch the sunset over All Saints Bay. The streets along Barra's beaches host a range of restaurants and shops to explore, and Porto da Barra beach is popular as a weekend getaway for both tourists and locals alike.
