Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot (no bedding supplied). Back garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and barbecue. 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Tucked away in a peaceful corner of North Devon, just a mile from the wild beauty of Exmoor, this lovingly converted cottage offers a truly special escape. Full of character, the cottage retains many of its original features, from exposed beams to stone walls, blending rustic charm with comfort.  
  
Step through the door and you’re welcomed into a warm, inviting space that feels like a home from home. Outside, you’re just a few strides from Wistlandpound Reservoir, a tranquil stretch of water that’s perfect for gentle walks, wildlife spotting, or simply sitting with a coffee as the mist lifts in the morning. Guests can also enjoy the communal pond area and, in the summer months, a games room that’s great for families or groups wanting to unwind together. But it’s the setting that truly makes this place unforgettable.  
  
Nestled within a designated Dark Sky area, the nights here are something magical, pitch-black skies studded with stars, ideal for stargazers and romantics alike. A short drive takes you to the coast, where Combe Martin offers sea views and quirky charm, while the golden beaches of Saunton Sands and Croyde are perfect for surfing, swimming, or simply soaking up the sun. Hikers and nature lovers will find Exmoor’s rugged moorlands and deep wooded valleys just minutes away, home to wild ponies, red deer, and ancient trails.  
  
Whether you’re seeking peaceful solitude or adventure-filled days, this spot is your perfect base, close to it all but quietly tucked away from the rush of the world.
