Cool fire pit area. Retro theme was different. On-site restaurant (not part of hotel) was overpriced with limited options. Check out Uncle Spoony's sports bar instead. Friendly owner and good food.

Pet-friendly! The free personal smore fixings upon check in was a nice touch for the evening communal fire pits in the inner courtyard. I would definitely stay here again!

This motor lodge was very nice and clean. There was a restaurant on site so I did not have to go anywhere for dinner. Everyone was friendly.

Very nice hotel and pet friendly!
This hotel was so gorgeous and so peaceful. The room was extremely comfortable and they had a nice large area for my dogs right next to our room. The restaurant next door was epically delicious. Only thing that was a little weird was they charge you an extra hundred dollars per night in case you order from their restaurant or something but we stayed 4 nights so that ended up being an authorization for $400 out of my account I wasn't expecting... Idk.. Just seemed excessive. Very pleasant stay though. Would definitely stay here again.

Motel is convenient location to Bourbon trail. Hotel is clean. Staff was friendly. We stayed one night. Room needs drapes to absorb sound and block light. We heard lots of outside sounds from road traffic and parking lot. Blinds to not block parking lot lights. Feel like it needs more decor on walls to make it more cozy. Would stay here again but I am not a fan of bathroom barn door. It provides no privacy. Might as well hang up a sheet.

The devil is in the details
The “revival” of the hotel is nice and well-intentioned but some elements need a little more attention. Bed and room in general was clean and comfortable but you have no way to block all the bright light coming from the outside bc huge gaps around the Roman shade. Shower head was weak, bath drain rusty and security lock was broken on door. Courtyard was very cute and location is nice and convenient. A good hotel option for the area but a little more attention to detail would elevate it even more.

Ok but wished it were better
Some good things are that it's within walking distance of downtown Bardstown and next door to Toogie's Restaurant. I didn't use it but there's a pool if you have kids or a strong immune system. On the bad side the air conditioning is noisy and the rooms are substandard especially for the price. But all-around it was ok.

Fun new spot in Bardstown, KY. Great pool area with a wonderful poolside bar. Loved the outdoor amenities and can't wait to come back with extended family.

Most of the staff were great! Very accommodating, but you have to be specific on what you want from housekeeping. If you don’t ask for the bed to be made, it won’t be made. LOL Food at restaurant is DELICIOUS!!

The driveway into the facility is difficult to see and the sign for it isn’t near the entrance. The hours for the swimming pool aren’t considering the hours of the Stephen Foster Story. The pool closes at the same time the show (which is a block away & the main reason to visit the area). It would be a lot better to close the pool at 11:00 PM. The $$$ breakfast is too expensive, $9 for oatmeal or eggs! It is decorated well and you can sign into your apps on the TV rather than outdated cable. The staff is very friendly and grounds are obviously updated!!

Unexpected surprise! Motor lodge next level!
This property was amazing! The rooms were decorated adorble in retro style. Huge tv, microwave, and fridge with drink options. Beds were perfect and bedding was soft. Room was very clean. Outdoor courtyard was amazing with kind of a tropical vibe with seating areas and a separate pool area. The staff were awesome! At sunset they got the fires and tiki torches going to keep summer bugs away...they even have smore kits available. The bartender was awesome. The staff were so friendly and all seemed like they genuinely enjoyed their jobs. I probably won't stay anywhere else when I return to Bardstown. I was very impressed, and that takes a lot lol.

I can't recommend Bardstown Motor Lodge enough! The rooms and common areas are awesome. The staff was by far the best part. They made us feel so welcomed and even played with our two year old. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful newly updated motel that has an awesome gated backyard with fire pits and seating! We loved it! The restaurant across the street has some of the greatest food you’ll ever eat! Great bar area and staff! We even bought some to-go drinks! We will be back!
