This hotel is right in the heart of El Born and you can easily see the old city of Barcelona (El Born and the Gothic Quarter) just by walking. It also has the convenience of being right on the edge of the old town. Turn left from the entrance and it's the disorganized maze of El Born and turn right it's the grid plan of the Eixample. This will save you so much time on transport. The rooms are great however if you get a triple, it's very small so be aware. The breakfast is top notch too. Their Spanish omelette is the best and so are their fruit. I would recommend staying here for sure

He pasado casi una semana en este Hotel y la verdad ha sido una experiencia muy bonita en todos los sentidos, pero si destacara algo sería sus trabajadores , los del front desk hasta los del servicio…. Y muy especial mencion a los encargados del desayuno, muy muy bueno y muy atentos todos , especialmente Sandra quien nos ha tratado con mucho cariño a mi y mi hija .

We booked this place specifically because it says it has air conditioning, but when we arrived they said they only use the air conditioning in the summer. Tried to ask for money back, and they were very rude about the whole matter. The shower was dirty when we checked into our room and the caulk work on the shower was terrible and messy. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The property was very well kept and perfect for our family of 3. The staff was accommodating with our baggage while we toured the city. The only issue was the exterior door was locked when my daughter returned at night, and there wasn’t anyone at the desk.

Broncos a great neighborhood. Classic old architecture, windy street, plazas, dining and bars. Like a laid back, young hip version of the gothic quarter. This hotel clean, classy, perfect location and has everything you need.

The location, the staff, the hotel layout were all wonderful. They have delicious cucumber water in the reception! The staff is friendly and helpful, the housekeeping was wonderful. Although we stayed in January, the rooftop pool was open! We were thrilled to be allowed to check in super early (10:30am!) after our long flight. One small note - our original room 801 (which I think is wheelchair accessible, as it had both a large shower area as well as a seperate bath and shower) smelled strongly of sewage. We left windows open, tried to find source but couldn't. After first night the staff kindly moved us to room 707 no smell at all.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for seeing the local sights. It’s also very close to public transport so it’s easy to get to from the airport. All around good place to stay.

Catalonia Born is a lovely hotel with friendly, welcoming staff and beautiful well-appointed and comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and lounge area in the afternoons. Arc de Triomf, restaurants, bakeries (for breakfast), squares are all within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

At check-in we were told that it would cost us over 16 Euros for the buffet breakfast, and only moved off that when I checked the paperwork to show that breakfast was included in our rate. When we used the shower, it didn’t drain properly. Given the toilet is placed in the shower (really), in order to use it, we had to put towels on the floor while the shower drained. We reported this to the front desk the day after arrival and nothing was done to fix it during our 3 day stay. The telephones weren’t working and the English channels were scrambled. The staff blamed this on the City and said it would be fixed the next day. It never was. Without any notice or explanation, I received a credit card charge for $5.89 even though we didn’t use anything in the bar fridge to account for this. This hotel is not inexpensive and yet the service is very poor.

100% recommend and would return
Great hotel in a fantastic location. So many bars and restaurants nearby and easy reach of las ramblas. The hotel itself is modern and clean, bed lovely size and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Not enough coffee and milk in the room but you can ask at reception for more and happy to provide. We’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years in Barcelona, trying to find ‘the one’ and this one is the best by far. Will be booking again when we return to Barcelona next year. We didn’t have a good experience booking through hotels.com so I would advise booking with the hotel directly

A lovely hotel in a perfect spot for exploring Barcelona. Close to metro connections and surrounded by cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. Sagrada Familia and Barceloneta beach around 25min walk. The rooms are big and very clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is small but a nice way to cool down. We really enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Born, would recommend for families and for business and will happily visit again next time we’re in Barcelona.

Location was very convenient,and staff were very accommodating and helpful especially Rachel, when we ask for guidance going around the city. The only negative comment is the room was so tight. It looked like they added a futton to make 3 beds fit in. However, we were out all day, and didn't bother us. I guess we're just happy to be at a central location.

The hotel is lovely as were all the hotel staff. It is in a safe neighborhood. Beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. The water pressure in the bathroom was great. It was also nice to have a balcony from where we watched the fireworks during the Sant Joan Festival. Having a kettle in the room was useful since we drank tea and coffee every day. The fruit infused water in the lobby was a nice touch, especially after a long day. A metro and bus station, taxi ranks, laundry services, pharmacy, convenience stores, gift shops, and restaurants were all nearby. The AC in the room was wonderful. The AC and lights only turned on when a key card is inserted into the slot by the door. So, this is a green hotel. We were lucky to find this hotel. We would stay here again.

We truly were lucky picking this property. It was exceptional. Staff was incredible, extremely clean , beautiful rooms. Well situated in the Gothic area so we walked everywhere no need for transport. We could not give a location a better rating

We had stayed here before and loved how handy it was to everything so rebooked. The room I was allocated had a funny smell in it, like something had died in the air vents…so I requested reception come to check it out, when he did the guy immediately said he would change my room and I was given an upgrade. Part from that I had a lovely stay…though door expect much atmosphere in the hotel, I get the impression it’s just a base but it was nice and quiet

Hotel and location were great. Arrived by bus and easy walk to hotel. Room was large, bathroom large, with tub and shower, and a separate walk in shower. HIghly recommend. We didn't eat the breakfast there. Only suggestion would be for coffee available in the lobby.
