Explore Acadia Cottages offers comfort, convenience and privacy so you can explore Acadia and MDI at your leisure. 5 minutes to Acadia National Park's main entrance, and 10 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor. From your cottage watch wildlife in the field, walk the trail to Hadley Point Beach, or enjoy a fire at night. Hadley Point Cottage #1 has 2 bedrooms and is equipped with a full kitchen, W/D, Propane grill, screened porch, communal fire pit, Smart TV, Books/Map of Acadia. The neighborhood is surrounded by new local restaurants, as well as year round residents. Hadley Point Beach is a 1 minute drive away, or 15 minute walk and is an amazing place to view sunrise and/or sunset. Quiet Hours: 10pm - 8am to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests. Trash/Recycling: Please place all trash in sealed bags and dispose in dumpster. Bottles/Cans are recycled and can be put in the recycling containers next to the dumpster. Bathrooms: Please do not flush ANYTHING except toilet paper. Hygiene products, wipes, dental floss and diapers should be placed in the garbage. BBQ Grill: There is a propane grill. Please clean the grill after each use and put the cover back on after it has cooled. Fire Pit: There is a community fire pit located by the office. Compliementary wood is provided along with fire starting supplies. Lobsters: Please do NOT cook lobsters inside any house. It was quiet, cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. The screened porch was an added bonus. The attention to detail in function, comfort, and decorating was noticeable and greatly appreciated! Sara was an excellent host, great communication and went above and beyond with providing local recommendations. The location is perfect for exploring Bar Harbor, Acadia, and the rest of Mount Desert Island. We enjoyed takeaway from The Chart Room and Thirsty Whale, and the pizza from Rosalie’s is some of the best I’ve had. Whale watching with Bar Harbor Whale Watch was fantastic. So many little “extras” like laundry supplies, local guide books, and games for a rainy day put this over the top. It was extremely clean, well laid out, and had everything we needed. The owners really went above and beyond... from the soap/ shampoo dispenser in the shower (fully stocked), the extra toilet paper, the kitchen with a full assortment of cups, plates, silverware, right down to the light switches that were labeled for which light each one controlled. It felt like our needs were met and then some. We were continually impressed each corner we turned to see another thoughtful consideration by the owner. If you're traveling to the Bar Harbor area and don't want all of the business and noise of crowds, this is a pefect location. It's just a short drive to both Bar Harbor and Acadia. In addition it was well located for other day trips we took to Schoodic Point and Winter Harbor, to great access to main roads for further trips down the coast to take in a few lighthouses. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, i can't recommend this place enough. The owners truly care about making their guests happy and prepared the cabin like one might do for a member of their own family. Thanks for the great Maine memories! ##### Lucas M.
