It was an alright hotel. The main road was right in front of the hotel, we barely got any sleep as the cars seems to be passing through all night! They barely had anythings for breakfast. So don’t fall for the free breakfast deal.

Sad service to guests.
We booked at Days inn. And was made to go for o Holliday day in. The employees were like pit bulls. Someone was celebrating their 25 wedding anniversary and had a nice bottle of wine , and the staff refused to give them glasses. Ridiculous! They put us in the worse room overlooking the roof and HVAC system. The room was dirty, and had blood on the wall that wasn’t cleaned. I say get off your high horse Holiday Inn, Almost like motel 6.

Staff supplies fresh towel everyday, however cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Inside rooms and outdoor of the property. Corners of bathroom had collected dirt and dust. Lamps were dusty. Exterior of building had extensive wood rot and trash on ground.

Close to Acadia !
This was an affordable way to be close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Rooms were clean (a little musty smelling), and staff was attentive and nice. Basic breakfast, but did the trick. Would stay here again.

Old facility with much needed repairs. One room had wires visible with electric sockets. If it wasn't for the location, we would probably have left the night we checked in

They were all booked but handled it so well!
This is a little harder to review because we didn't actually stay there. We booked using hotels.com and although the app let us book it, the hotel itself was all booked up. The hotel upgraded us to another room at a sister hotel that was waterfront and in the heart of Bar Harbor at no extra cost to us!

Good: Beds and pillows were above average. Location was convenient, staff was ok. Bad: Room cleanliness left alot to be desired. Food was left in cabinet from previous occupant. Canister of 'moisture absorber' that looked like scary science experiement was under chair.

Disappointing
While the room was relatively clean, it was terribly, terribly outdated and not worth 360 something dollars a night! The breakfast was pretty terrible as well. The motel needs a complete renovation. It is in pretty sad shape.

2 star hotel
I was hoping for the price, this hotel would be a little nicer. It was still no more than a 2 star hotel. The room smelled funny and was a little run down. The temperature was also hard to control in the room with the either heat on or off, it got super hot for awhile one evening.

Horrible Motel and very expensive for value
The hotel room door had brown liquid all running down the door - possibly coffee spilled. The TV connector cables were all dangling off a table with wires exposed. The room smelled so musty I opened the front window, but there were people right outside the window talking by their room. The mattress was very old and sagged. The room was totally filled with furniture that was not needed. The sink was in front of the toilet and difficult to access.

The best thing about this place is it's location in proximity to Acadia National Park and to downtown Bar Harbor. Other than that, not much going for it. The hotel is run down and in need of many repairs. The room smelled like mildew. The carpet near the AC/heat unit was wet, and it wasn't running so it was not condensation. The inside lock on the door was broken. The refrigerator took 2 days to get cold even though I turned it up to the coldest setting. The ice machine on the second floor was broken. The breakfast in the lobby was all just packaged foods, nothing fresh. Not even any cream cheese for the packaged bagels. I paid over $200 per night, because it's Acadia...but it really wasn't worth it at all. Overpriced for a run down, broken down, smelly room.

Very old property in desperate need of an extensive remodel. Like a complete teardown and rebuild. Chipped paint, water stains, The Tiniest Toilet Seat In The World, a “complimentary” breakfast (of course it’s never really free) consisting of stale bagels and some cereal bars - but next to a National Park, so they can charge a premium rate. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE TERMINALLY ILL, and if you are, you’ll pray for a speedier death.

Nice rooms for the price and the location is easy access to park and downtown. Staff were great. The only downside to this property is the parking lot. It’s very small but they do their best for the size lot they have to work with. I would definately stay there again.

Moldy and smelly
We were greeted very kindly by check in. Our room was moldy and musty. Upon leaving, realized how badly our clothes smelled. Breakfast served was acceptable. Everyone we spoke to said that Days Inn in Bar Harbor was one of the worse places to stay. Our only other facility that we stayed at in Bar Harbor was Cromwell motel. We would certainly would agree that Days Inn at twice the cost was not a good experience

I felt the door to the outside was very insecure, you could see outside all around it. Twice we had someone try to open it from the outside walkway. The shower head was below our heads. Im only 5 foot 2 so its way too low.
