Gorgeous mountain home in the heart of the High Country, featuring easy paved access and ample parking, breath-taking mountain views, bubbling stream, large open yard, and a stunning outdoor patio perfect for entertaining and hosting large gatherings. This large mountain estate holds 6 private bedrooms and ample bathroom space, with the master bedroom on the main level, a private suite above the garage, and a bonus room on the lower level for indoor entertainment and games. There is easy access to the balcony overlooking the yard, perfect for relaxation. Located close to the Watauga River, this home is situated perfectly, only a 15 minute drive to Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock.

*All-wheel or 4-wheel drive strongly recommended in the winter months.
*please be aware some outdoor amenities may be unavailable due to weather conditions

There are some little things that could use attention, but the home and surroundings are absolutely magnificent and make up for them. The home is very elegant but livable. FYI- I leave Christmas out year-round too. And my 4 year old grandson was thrilled to find a Dr Seuss collection among your countless books. Thank you.

Loved being close to so many activities we wanted to complete. House was secluded and quiet. A few issues but all seemed due to weather. Would recommend this place and hope to come back during a different season. House was stocked with household items so not a ton of room for items we brought/purchased but was able to make do.

Great home with lots of indoor and outdoor space for the entire family. ( 6 adults and 5 children). We all enjoyed the hot tub as well. Wonderful location for that area and all the sights.

Cooking utensils are plentiful, has most everything you’d want in a kitchen. Loved gas fire place, outdoor fire pit, also enjoyed using outdoor grill area (TV unusable at grill) and hot tub. The view from large front window of house was great, was able to watch a group of turkeys pass through front one morning! House was clean inside and well furnished with seating options throughout the house inside and outside. Few concerns- were the large amount of fallen leaves piled up at steps to entrance and hot tub upon arrival, which we cleared with a snow shovel and garden rake. The beds upstairs are in need of updating compared to master on main floor and downstairs bed, there’s a huge difference in support. The bottom mattress on bunk bed is just a thin fold up vinyl mattress, for small child NBD, however my young daughter shared the room w/ my other daughter and found it to uncomfortable to sleep on and made other sleeping arrangements. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would consider using again in the future with a smaller group, we had 13 adults during our weekend stay. We notify property manager about large amount leaves piled up, however they were unable to have the lawn service come out on short notice.

Beautiful home, kitchen set up a little bit confusing, and not necessarily efficient use of space, plenty of bedroom and bathroom space for the seven of us that one of the bedrooms with the Murphy bed a bit small, particularly for somebody who has some mobility challenges, toilet tissue, not well stockedThe outdoor space was beautiful as well that we couldn't use it because of the weather and because it really needed some outdoor landscaping maintenance must be beautiful went well taken care of. I'm not a kind of falling leaves.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Even with a rainy week, the spacious home provided lots of room for games, puzzles, quiet reading spaces, pool, and lovely deck views. The amazing outdoor kitchen was a big hit and provided wonderful family meals. The property has easy access and plenty of parking. We also enjoyed having a great grocery store close by. Hope to enjoy another stay there soon.

The Ivey's probably get tired of guests gushing about their place, but count me as a gusher! The outdoor patio area is every bit as beautiful as the pictures indicate. We indulged ourselves with the hottub, corn hole, the outdoor grill, the firepit, darts as well as the pool table. Never a dull moment. The bedroom configuration offers plenty of privacy for everyone. The indoor dining table comfortably seats 12. Location is a perfect launch point for a variety of activities in the area. Be aware that the views from the back are not 'panoramic' of the mountains, but idyllic none-the-less. Highly recommended.

This house is a complete joy to stay in. The view is spectacular and the house is wonderfully set. Great kitchen and great sitting areas to relax. The weather was perfect for being outside and would certainly love to stay there again if we return to Banner Elk area. Could not have selected a more perfect place.

Absolutely amazing!

Our family of 15 had a fabulous time at this amazing property! The home is spacious, yet cozy, and was very clean. There are multiple gathering spaces, inside and out, and several spots to enjoy alone time as well. Our favorite part of the property was the outdoor kitchen area. With a grill, counter space, refrigerator, HUGE table, and a wood fire pizza oven, what else could you want? Our hostess was quick to respond to any issues and made our stay delightful.

Graduation celebration 2025

We had 14 family members to celebrate graduation for the first grand daughter on both sides- go APP! Amazing home and so comfortable! The only thing was the trash area was closed on the Sunday morning we departed, so we had to leave it by the laundry area. We loved that the family had played for App and had a fun game room, outdoors etc. Would stay again for another epic weekend!

Annual family snowboarding vacation

This was our second visit to the Casa de la Rosa. Beautiful snow-filled vacation. Loved looking at the view from the large front window overlooking the snowy lawn. Property manager and owner were very responsive to our needs. Highly recommend this spacious property.

Blended family vacation SUCCESS

We had the most amazing time! This was the first family vacation we have done with both my in laws, parents AND SIBLINGS which also included teenagers, along with our own kids. And we all had the most amazing time. There was 15 of us and everyone had their own spaces and plenty of things to do. We showed up and there was still snow on the ground and with sleds already on sight my little east coast babies got to enjoy sledding for the first time while we unloaded and got settled. We saw deer almost every morning and absolutely loved the view. The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas so we were able to just throw presents under the tree and start our vacation. We will most definitely come again! Also the eating options and pizza oven was over the top amazing, loved the outdoor tables and cooking area! Thank you for sharing your home with us and we can’t wait to come again! Also believe this would be a great summer home to vacation and explore the creek with the kids! Banner Elk Family Thanksgiving 2024

This Private Moutain House is in a Great Location, Midway between Boone and Banner Elk; a Short drive to Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, and Sugar Mountain ! The Home is Well maintained, and Art, our Host was Excellent; we had an Issue w/ the Gas Logs upon arrival on Sunday evening, and He came by Monday to Fix the problem and attend to several other minor issues...With Six Bedrooms, Our 12 member Family had Plenty of Room to Spread out and enjoy;and the Owner decorated the House for Christmas for Us, which was an Addded Bonus !!!

Family Retreat

This home is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! It is centrally located between Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Boone! The home is arranged so that each bedroom space is PRIVATER and has 3 floors of living space! The playroom is great for all ages and tv's everywhere! Hot tub looked very inviting but just not enough time to use it! Kitchen and table large and easy to feed many with no problem! We had snow for a couple days and the kids slide down the front yard for hours and thoroughly all the outdoor time together! There were 15 of us and we will most certainly come back again!!!! Dr. Hughes and Family!

Beautiful Weekend to Celebrate

This home was gorgeous, well furinished, and provided plenty of space for the friends staying. The outdoor area was better than expected- we got amazing use out of the pizza oven and the outdoor dining table was perfect to share a meal. I can’t recommend this property enough.

Lovely mountain house

The house was beautiful, clean and everything worked! The set-up was perfect for our large group of extended family. The house really had something for each age group of kids and plenty of space to play outdoors. We cooked inside and also used the outdoor grill and fire pit. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property to anyone staying in the area with a larger group!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin. It was large enough for our family to get together and have plenty of space. We lived the game room and outdoor activities. Plenty to do right there and have lots of family fun!

Our Mountain Birthday Celebration

Kitchen was well stocked, except for a broken toaster, only one side of the outdoor grill worked, made it difficult as we had 12 people.... and we had to buy a can opener....outside fire pit was so enjoyable. We did not use the hot tub. Beautiful front yard and view of mountains...lots of outdoor seating areas...kids enjoyed the downstairs gameroom...we would definitely return...winery is so close and one of the best I've been to, we were all seated next to the river..
