Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis at the Arch

"I cannot overstate how wonderful this property was for us! The location was perfect for going to a Cardinals game, and seeing the Arch. The staff was so beyond friendly! Our favorite was Laverne, who was always singing and being silly with her sidekick Shirley, a pink unicorn she has attached to her collar. She let us know that Shirley had the “day off” on our last day. Such a big personality! Management walks around during happy hour and speaks to guests, asking if everything is great with your stay. Front desk staff is helpful and friendly. The amenities were so much more than we realized! Free hot breakfast each morning, coffee all day, a self serve soda fountain, 3 free drinks each evening, free hot food bar during happy hour (hot dogs, nachos, and an entree; they had pasta and a spinach salad one evening). My husband loved the free popcorn in the lobby. We all loved the Arch observation patio! We sat out each morning and had coffee there. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay here again, and tell all friends and family how wonderful the Drury at the Arch is!"

"An older, historic-looking hotel with character in a nice, walkable, safe area. I loved that my room was very well insulated and actually sound-proof from most street noise or human sounds inside the building. The furniture was old, with some looking original to the building. The breakfast was the highlight, with an incredible omelet station with fresh ingredients and a knowledgeable, friendly person creating the omelets. The breakfast is better than most complimentary hotel breakfasts. The staff were friendly, helpful and always seemed to be cleaning or helping customers. The exercise room was large, clean and well-equipped. The air-conditioners worked very well, thank goodness. My only suggestion is for housekeeping to be a little more careful cleaning room floor. I wore black socks in my room and by the end of the evening they were covered with debris should have been swept up from many prior occupants. The parking was easy and affordable at $6 per day; however, it ended up being free of charge since the automatic arms at the entrance were always up during my stay. The bathroom clearly had been completely updated and looks very nice with two showers. The in-room fridge and microwave were helpful. If I am in the St. Louis area I will plan to stay here again."

"Excellent front desk staff,very friendly and helpful..We arrived in time for free evening snacks and drinks..Room was very comfortable and roomy..Airport shuttle is a added plus, we used long term parking for our trip and it was very convenient, the shuttle delivered us right to our car on return..highly recommend Pear Tree Inn for your stay!!"

"We enjoyed our time in the Arts Roof Bar and breakfast in Commonwealth, a restaurant on street level. We also had dinner at Commonwealth and the scallops were great. We love this hotel. We walked across the street to the symphony and on others stays I visited 3 art galleries with in an easy walk. The best part is the room that is saturated in the color you choose. Our room was blue with a great view."
