"We ( two families with 2 children under 6 each) stayed here for a long weekend. We loved the proximity to the beach, to the view as well as cows and sheep, and access to the beach bar which was excellent. The house though plenty large enough for us, was very open, which meant sounds travelled ( babies crying either early in the morning or late at night). It was cozy and had all that we needed. Host was so lovely and helpful, easy to reach if we needed anything."

"The cottage is very cute and gives the experience of an authentic Irish country cottage however it wasn’t as tidy as a renter should expect and we had issues with the hot water and radiator heat the entire time of our stay. "After a couple of weeks seeing the UK and Ireland with 9 of our kids and grandkids, we wanted a few days to rest. We loved being in the Sligo area and dining at the nearby Beach Bar. Downpatrick Head was great to see & we even drove to the Giant’s Causeway while we were in the area. Sheila’s house was a nice place to rest and relax. We loved attending church in nearby Screen. "We stayed at the Aughris House and Annex on our recent trip to Ireland. Both are wonderful units in a beautiful and idyllic setting with excellent access to hiking trails, restaurants, and a variety of local sites. "I prefer smaller hotels or B&Bs while in Ireland but this was only place available in Sligo. This is a big hotel with an interesting history, beautiful grounds, a couple of restaurants, a big kids play area. It has long corridors you can get lost in to get to your room but the family room was incredibly spacious. The hotel is not walking distance to anything so you need a car. No personalized service really, probably good for big groups traveling together. So it just depends on what you like!"
