"We just wanted a little place all to ourselves that felt warm and homely and this place did that for us. The log fire keeps the cottage toasty warm and the autumn leaves all around us was beautiful. The steps up can be slippery in the wet but that was to be expected with where the cottages were and with all the trees surrounding them. "

"Lucini cottage is one of a small group of cottages set in secluded street just off the main road in Hepburn. All I can say, is WOW, what a gorgeous and welcoming place. We arrived on a very cold night and after a long drive we appreciated that the lights and gas log fire place were on to greet us. Beautifully decorated and very cozy and only few minutes drive to Daylesford town centre."

"Just what we wanted. Slow days, sunshine and no distractions. Time to do word puzzles, paint pictures, press flowers, cook pancakes and talk. I enjoyed these precious few days with my three kids. And the delightful setting made it all the more special. Thanks to Kate and Simon for sharing your beautiful property with us. The dogs made quite an impression on the kids too!"

"The double spa bath is very welcome and decadent. The exterior is fun and has a luxurious cottage feel. Outside of that the cottage felt underwhelming, tired and in need of some repair. The bathroom needs regrouting, the vanity light wasn't working, the bed felt small, the main TV kept restarting and the light in the kitchen had a cardboard-box shade. All the appliances felt tired and in need of replacement. For the amount paid, it felt more like a 3 star than a 4 or 5 star stay."

"This cottage ticked all the boxes for us -comfortable, well-furnished, and cute as a button. The bedroom has good bedside lamps for reading and we slept well. The kitchen and living space are well designed and attractively styled. The air-con cools the house nicely, and the fireplace looks very inviting for the winter months. But lovely as the interior is, our favourite spot was the front porch with its sunny aspect and restful view of trees. Hard to say who liked it more - us or our kelpie....

"Lovely 2 bedroom plus bungalow home close to the main street. Luxury linens, everything is lovely quality even the tea towels. Jane lives onsite in a studio and her sister is next door so help is always available. Only issue (not mentioned in the ad) was that one bedroom is separate to the house so not suitable for anyone who needs the toilet overnight in cold weather. Gorgeous vintage furniture and a very homely vibe throughout."

"We had a wonderful stay and Halina is an amazing host. The house is cosy, very well appointed, clean and with lots of nice little touches to make you feel right at home. The kids had plenty of space to run around outside and kick a footy and play. Awesome spa to relax in too 😁. Would definitely stay here again."

"So beautiful, the interior decorating so sympathetic with the house. The log fire, the view through the french doors over the elevated deck and the sense of space on top of the hill. We enjoyed the DVD player, the beautiful linen, electric blanket and all the little things like tea, milk and coffee. Thank you so much, we will be back."

"Beautiful little house to stay in for the weekend visiting Sovreign Hill. 3 bedrooms plus a 4th set up as a nursery. It was bliss not needing to bring a portacot, highchair or any of the other baby stuff. It was all here. So clean and lots of lovely inclusions such as butter, hot chocolate sachets etc. Another review mentioned some of the bedroom doors don’t close but we didn’t find this a problem. There are cute little weighted bags and we just used these to stop it swinging open. Things like...
