"While the staff attempted to be friendly, there was a lot of instances where keys just stopped working, loud maintenance work, and the rooms were just so-so. It may be better to just stay in Brookings, SD and drive to De Smet vs staying here."

"It’s a cheapo hole for the night sort of place, zero frills, cheap sheets, well worn rooms paper thin walls. I’d do another 40 mins and get to Watertown next time. "

We have been staying in Brookings the past few times we’ve visited family because we don’t care for the hotel in town. But this is a game changer for us and we will definitely be booking again!! "

Having the dogs free to roam made it feel even more like home. The huge stainless sink for cleaning birds indoors was a total game changer and honestly amazing.
