Amazing sound side access and close drive to all of the ORV beaches. Comfy beds, clean bathroom with nice shower, fully stocked kitchen and plenty of room to relax (with a pull out Futon for another bed). We spent most of our time fishing the outer banks, but I could see this being a fun place to just relax in the summer (or anytime), with beautiful sunset views and all sorts of amenities for families and adults! From the moment we stepped into the cottage we were so impressed. Every room was beautiful and lacked for nothing. The beds were very comfortable also. The views were incredible from the back deck and dock. We enjoyed the paddle board and kayaks provided. If there was one drawback it was the lack of a table with chairs to sit at so we could play the games we brought with us. There is an island with stops which can cover quick meals however. Our family spent hours on the back deck catching up, and watching the water and a kite surfer or two, especially at sunset. It was so quiet! Then, when we wanted to explore, we were very close to Cape Hatteras lighthouse, and good food in Avon and Burton. We drove up to Duck one day to shop and explore, just about an hour away, and a very scenic drive. We cooked dinner in the cottage and had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the decorating in the cottage is airy and fun--it captures the beach vibe perfectly! Updated interior a big plus with comfy couches for family movie night. 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. Kitchen and living room well laid out. The deck overlooking bay makes for relaxing sunsets.
