"Beautiful lake view. Since the bugs were plentiful this time of year, it was wonderful to have a screened in deck. House was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. Plenty of linens (we did have to re-distribute some of them to other bathrooms). Overall, a wonderful visit."

"We absolutely loved The Shady Pine at Barren River Lake, with one caveat: we arrived after dark, and I don't recommend that. My GPS provided street names and our directions were based on the route numbers and cell service was very spotty. Melissa was great - we called and told her where we were and she was able to verify that our GPS was correct - thankfully! Shady Pines is fully stocked with everything you could want. The weather was very hot so we rented a boat and spent a day on the lake (great swimming!) and went to Mammoth Cave twice which is amazing - and cool. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodations and had a great time!"
