"A lovely little house, great location, very welcoming fire to come home to on the cold days! Bathrooms could do with an update and unfortunately due to a leak in the water cupboard the property did smell damp on arrival and the ground floor bedroom’s bed felt damp. The owner was very helpful though and quick to send a plumber though to sort the leak at least."

"Although I wouldn’t call it a 4 star (not luxurious), it is absolutely spotless and comfortable, could not fault it."

"We have stayed in the Metropole many times on the last night of our holiday. New to the room was a kettle, tea & coffee. A good from us. We particularly like staying here, because there is a locked garage, so we feel safe leaving things in the car on our final night in France."
"The hotel was situated in a vibrant part of Boulogne, it was easy to find and the car park was very useful. There was only a short walk to local places of interest."

"I wish there had been a bike shed. Although fairly small there was room for them. I wish we had been on the ground floor. A great value for a great location - close to city gardens and the spectacular Hotel de Ville."

"We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Check in quick and simple. No need to register our car as it was a secure and private car park and no parking charge. The car park was locked at about 22:00hrs but a code was provided to allow exit/entry if needed. We had booked a superior room and it was. Very large room, separate toilet and shower, two televisions, tea and coffee making facilities including a coffee pod machine and a 'fridge with complimentary drinks. The room was clean although it did need a little TLC to freshen it up. Really good shower with normal shower head and rain forest attachment. Very comfortable bed with a decent sized quilt unlike other hotels which seem to have one size too small duvets. We did not have breakfast however it looked very appetising so will consider for our next stay. Check out was simple and quick. We use Le Tunnel 4 times a year and will definitely stay here again."
