Within 12 hours of booking, I realized the mountains were not open at the time of our stay. I immediately emailed, called and put in a change request to stay at a 2 1/2 times higher rate on clear dates. After days of trying to get a reply through calling, emailing through VRBO and texting to a WhatsApp group, I finally got a one answer- “put in a change request”. I said I did and offered my dates. A day later another one liner of “the rates are not the same”. I responded I knew that and then after trying them for the 5th time on the WhatsApp message they responded...”If you need an immediate response, I don’t do changes.” Here I was trying to spend MORE money with this co. and they were very rude when they finally responded. My son and husband then soon after were exposed to 2 positive cases of covid through team sports. We then, having to quarantine them shared this info (along with the number of the hockey director’s contact info to verify) with the company who responded the same again- “I do not do changes.” VRBO tried as well. I am shocked that anyone, let alone in the travel business, is so rude and unaccommodating. I am also shocked that while we needed to quarantine 2 of our 4 family members, they still expected us to stay, recently leaving me a voicemail yesterday asking if we ever came. I would definitely heed others’ advice with mine and really think before using this company. The management is like nothing I’ve seen before. No reason for it, doesn’t make sense and just plain bad business. If you have a problem before or during your stay, I would shudder to think of being in their hands. In addition, they are happy with covid high risk individuals staying in their property. I don’t know how they will respond to this but the review is honest and one other thing, I could not get back any service fees or the cleaning fee because the owner wouldn’t refund anything. Unfortunately I booked too close to get the insurance so I was out of luck.
