Ahmic Lake Resort

8/10 Good

"Cozy and comfortable Stay at 1Bluejay Cottage..... We had a lovely experience at the one-bedroom lakeside retreat while visiting Magnetawan. It offered free Wi-Fi, complimentary self-parking, and a small kitchen, which made our visit warm and inviting. One of the highlights was the beautiful view of the lake, which added a peaceful and relaxing touch to our trip. A special thank you to Betina and Raj, who went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay, their kindness and hospitality truly made a difference! Although the accomodation uses a portable heater, it worked perfectly well and kept the entire space warm and cozy. There are a few areas for improvement, the toiletries, as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were not supplied. Also, providing extra towels would be appreciated, especially for guests staying for more than one night, to ensure a more comfortable and convenient experience. The resort is conveniently located just about 10 minutes from town, where you can find Magnetawan Grill and Grocery restaurant, a great spot for good food with friendly service, as well as small grocery store for your everyday needs. In summary, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warm hospitality, with a few improvements, such as providing adequate toiletries and extra towels the guest experience could be even better but it's a lovely getaway for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in Magnetawan!!"

The best view on the Magnetawan River! Rustic cottage with all amenities!

8/10 Good

"Great location, right on the river. Our dog enjoyed playing in the water, very quiet. Neighbours are close by; the hill down to the dock is quite steep. Very clean, with lots of walking trail near by."

Bagz Place : Your private sanctuary to unplug, reset, and connect with nature.

10/10 Excellent

"Bagz place was as advertised and exactly what we were looking for our family vacation. Thanks to Sam the host/owner. Sam was very responsive when I reached out before and during our stay. He even called the area bait shops to help me find minnows! The house is in a remote, very quiet area. The drive to Bagz place is beautiful and takes you across Maple Island on the way. The area lakes and rivers offer a wide variety of fish from rainbow trout (caught my first on this trip) to Pike. If your looking for a place to get away from it all, Bagz is your place!"

Firefly Hut - Cheerful 6-bedroom cottage with serene beauty

10/10 Excellent

"Absolutely loved our stay at this lakefront cottage! The location was beautiful and peaceful, with stunning views of the lake. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the lake view was definitely a highlight. The whole experience was amazing, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!"

4 season Family Friendly Beach Cottage in the Bay

10/10 Excellent

"This property is spacious, well maintained and has all the essentials. The beach is shallow and clean and you can jump off the dock. Bring a boat, kayak or paddle board. Our goldens loved the water. Dunchirch has a restaurant, convenience store, gas bar and LCBO. It’s just a 15-20 minute drive away. Note that there’s no wifi so bring your own if you need it. There’s no A/C/Heatpump when we were there- so a really hot day in summer might be uncomfortable and need to be outside in the water. We stayed over late Aug early Sept. The hosts are cool. Highly recommended if you like an old school cottage experience on a beautiful lake - 6 stars"

BIG Family & Multi-Family Cottage with Incredible View, Hot Tub & Sauna

10/10 Excellent

"The cottage was authentic, cozy and absolutely perfect for our family to get away to celebrate our wedding. The space was beautiful and very comfortable for 20 of us, There was lots to do for all ages- indoors and out. The beautiful large dinning table allowed us to sit together and enjoy meals as a family. The lakeside gazebo and dock are gorgeous and a great place to relax and enjoy the water. The hosts were amazing and communication exceeded our expectations. A beautiful place to stay!"

Perfect 4-season cottage for year-round joy

10/10 Excellent

"Thanks to our great hosts Cindy and Will! We had a great time at the cottage. The water was beautiful and the various kayaks, paddleboards, canoes and boats going by was exactly the up north environment we love. The cottage is very well equipped and the beds were comfortable."

Single Family Cottage Perfect for Families with Kids Charm and Sunset Included

8/10 Good

"I visited the cottage along with my friends and we had a great weekend here! The cottage is cosy and good for a small group or a family with kids. It is located right on the lake and that made it really easy to jump in for a swim or do any other water activity. We had a really good time!"
