"This place is a GEM. The staff was so friendly. The rooms are super cute and historic. Everything is within walking distance and you can't beat the view of mountains in the background. Their restaurant was closed as they are getting ready to renovate the entire property. Nice little bar with anything you want really. The front and back porches are so nice to sit and enjoy a cool evening. We will for sure be back after the renovations! "

"Fast and friendly check in. The rooms are clean and comfortable. An older hotel but seems to be kept up. Breakfast is just muffins and coffee is around the clock. Cameras everywhere which made me feel safe. The only downfall was the pool not being available. "

"The Barbie House was my 8-year-old daughter’s dream come true! Nestled just down the road from the incredibly charming town of Black Mountain, we walked into a sea of pink and pure Barbie magic. No detail was overlooked. This home makes kids feel like they’ve stepped into their very own play world, and it brings out the kid in every adult too. We loved all the thoughtful touches, and the host was nothing short of amazing. We’ll definitely be back!"

"This house was comfortable for our needs. Some of the particularities (such as a small kitchen) come with the territory of being in a house that is this old. But it was well supplied for our group, clean, and the wrap around porch with the multiple ceiling fans, table, swing, chairs, couches, was the best! Excellent communication with the host. We hope to return to this house in 2026. "
