How is this place legal??? We paid €410 a night. For that, a room for five (two adults, three children) measuring roughly 8 feet wide by 26 feet long — and that includes the bathroom. One small window. No fan, no air conditioning, no cross-ventilation of any kind. This was the first week of August. The sidewalk outside was cooler than our room. We checked more than once, and seriously considered sleeping on it.
The sheets were dirty when we arrived. Under the beds was worse, clearly untouched for a long time. The toilet seat barely attached and slid off the bowl when used. The shower head would not stay in its bracket and dropped down the rod every time — in a stall three feet wide, that means holding the wand in one hand and washing with the other while wedged against a wall.
Amenities: one. A self-serve coffee machine in the entryway, €3 a cup, prepaid at the front desk — where the staff made clear that being asked anything at all was an imposition.
At €410 a night, I expect clean sheets and a toilet seat that stays attached. At any price, I expect to be able to breathe. Families especially: this room cannot hold five people in August. Book elsewhere.Do NOT stay here !
