"It was a phenomenal stay for me! The staff is absolutely amazing and exceedingly helpful. The dinner was delicious though on the pricey side. But you get what you pay for! Breakfast (included in the cost) was also very good! Beds were comfortable, hot tub was spot on after doing the Killington Beast, and the game room had everything you could think of! Highly recommended, and will be going back next year for the race. It is a beautiful building, had that mid 1800’s charm, was surprisingly quiet even with some areas of the floor creaking… giving it that character and comfortable nostalgic presence. Loved it! Already recommended to other friends. The only concern was the bathroom in the room which was small though serviceable. Since it was built in the 1840’s there were no bathrooms originally in the rooms so they were added. Again, highly recommended!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The lake is gorgeous even if a bit murky at the shore - we took the kayaks out and the canoe both days and enjoyed a fire pit by the water. One of the beds needed a new mattress as it wasn't very comfortable otherwise everything was clean and enjoyable! Thank you Grainne!"

"This is large, comfortable house set in the woods on the side of mountain in VT. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the pool was clean, relaxing and came with floats! The waterfall element in the pool area is lovely but the pump made a bunch of noise so we didn't use it much. We thought the jacuzzi tub would be available - it wasn't. It's label "Broken Do Not Use". The house was generally clean but could use a more attention to the cobwebs in the corners. The windows in the pool room are literally rotting and falling apart so this room while wonderful to hang out in could use some attention. The decks are nice but the view is only of the surrounding woods. The availability of Alexa/music in every space was a nice bonus.The instruction book on the counter doesn't match the instructions received by email so I'd recommend the host make those corrections (the oven/microwave section and check out in particular). This caused confusion and wasted time during check out.There are no extra blankets, bath towels, kitchen towels or paper towels available. It would have been nice to have an extra blanket for the bed but we made it work. We were provided with a single roll of paper towels. We cooked every meal so keeping everything clean meant we ran through those paper towels quickly.Otherwise a great stay. I will say the hill climb to get to the house is extreme so 4WD/AWD would be required to get there in the winter."

"Exactly as described in the listing: with being rustic but having everything you need to have a great Vermont cabin getaway. The cabin was very clean overall with the exception of an odd odor coming from the wall where the couch is. Most likely aging changing of the resin in the wood. The kayak availability was great and the lake is so much better from out on the water. Quiet cozy rustic camp sums it up."
