Spacious, Well-Appointed home on Beautiful Lake Wapogasset! This wonderful, private Chalet-Style home is the perfect place to gather with your favorite people! Open-concept/very large, comfortable entertaining areas on two of the four levels. 4200 square feet! TONS of room to gather…or sneak off for a nap! The spacious, well-stocked “chef’s” kitchen is a great layout…and has all the essential cookware to prepare great meals without being crowded…or being excluded from the activity on the main level and patio. The wonderful, large dining table and benches seats 16 adults…and seemingly countless kids. It is great for games and puzzles. The adjoining granite kitchen island seats many more…and a covered patio is just outside the dining area. The large covered deck/patio features a propane gas grill, table space up to 18…and lots of deck space. Everyone can eat together! Plenty of service and storage space, too! Indoor and outdoor dining areas offer built-in buffet/bar serving space for your meals and “happy hours,” too! Bedrooms galore…7, in total- on 3 of the 4 levels. 4 bathrooms, all with bathing facilities. 2 TV areas…with cable channels, streaming and DVD use…to curl up for a movie night- or watch a ball game together. There is also lots of indoor and outdoor privacy- with quiet spaces to connect, play board games, try your hand at Hammerschlagen, create crafts, enjoy a book, or just enjoy the solitude. The largest of the decks overlooks the lower level patio area/fire pit area and the private lakefront beach. There is space in the yard and parking areas for most yard games. There is a swing-set/kiddie swing area around in the front yard, opposite the lake. An additional lakeside deck (and sand beach area) await! On the waterfront, a flat sand beach area…and an additional 16x14’ deck rests atop the boat house. It is an ideal spot to soak up some sun, star-gaze, keep an eye on the lake activity, or enjoy a cool beverage as you wind-down your day with an epic lake sunset….or some star-gazing. We provide Adirondack and Beach chairs. Lots of inflatable toys, a Lily pad float, 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards and a canoe are available for you to use. Life vests are provided and required, please. Bring or Rent a boat…Take a dip off the private 40 foot dock, drop a fishing line, put your feet up, hop a boat…or paddle off for an adventure! Shallow graded access is ideal for all ages and swimmers. The lake offers excellent year-round fishing. Lots of “first fish” are caught- right off the dock! We are excited to share our place with you! We know you will love it here…and will long to return! \*Nearby “City of Lakes” Amery has small town charm with all the necessary amenities. Great food, multiple public golf courses, an apple orchard/maple syrup farm, and a great micro-brewery. Putt-putt golf, go-carts, and horseback riding. There are some very good dining options…quaint cafes, a bowling alley, taverns, antique shops, parks…and Apple River tubing and paddling. Multiple wineries, ice cream, coffee and candy shops, as well. On the north end of Lake Wapo- The Waterside Bar and Grill, a newly renovated restaurant/bar, is always a fun outing…It is 15 minutes by boat or car. Excellent food…and Live Music is often performed on the patio area. The Stower Seven Lakes State Trail runs for 30+ miles just to the south of Wapogasset and Bear Trap Lakes, as well! http://amerywisconsin.org/ Check out nearby St Croix Falls, Taylor’s Falls (MN), Dresser and Balsam Lake for more great dining and drink options…and more recreation! Fawn-Doe-Rosa Nature Park, Go-Carting, Nordic Skiing Trails, Putt-Putt golf, Trollhaugen Ski/Recreation area (Dresser, WI) and the Woolly Mountain Bike/Hiking trails, additional wineries and more breweries, berry picking farms…and horseback riding sites are all within a 5-20 minute drive from the house! Our winter guests enjoy the “Miracle at Big Rock” Festival, Late Nov-January, each year. My husband and I picked this beautiful place for our large family to celebrate Christmas. We made use of every bedroom, every room and the lake out front. The kitchen was plenty big for all of us (10 adults and 12 grandchildren) and we spent many many hours at the dining table eating and playing games. We had a warm ice house and 2 side by sides on the lake for all to enjoy and even caught a few walleyes. We were able to ice fish and enjoy the snow. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare large family meals and the open concept was the perfect space for to dine and play games together. The bedrooms are spread out so each area feels like it is it's own space if you need some time away from the group as well. We had great communication leading up to and during our family event, which was my dad’s 70th birthday party. This house is great for all ages and the hosted a great job, providing things that were grateful for little kids, whether it was toys, sleeping arrangements, or a highchair and made it a lot easier on the parents.It is absolutely beautiful and extremely clean.It was hard to tell from the photos, but there is water access, and while there wasn’t a beach directly into the water, they have a nice raised sand beach just above the water, which was fun for the little kids. They also provide a ton of water toys and floatables including canoe, kayaks, and paddle boards!We ended up bringing our boat which pulled up to the dock nicely.Our favorite features of the house were the kitchen, family room, the beach area and deck above the boathouse, and by far the best was the deck underneath the chalet roof which is where we spent most of our time since the weather was a little chilly our time of year.we will absolutely make it a point to be back!! ##### Brooke D. We had 16 people and beds for everyone to stay comfortably. Big, well stocked kitchen, tables for everyone to eat both inside and outside. Huge patio with roof in case of rain. Comfortable living space for everyone. Many outdoor sitting areas with views of the lake at multiple levels - from the house down to the lake. Highly recommend! ##### Paul S. This was our family's 4th annual Christmas stay at this property and, as usual, we all had a great time. The house was clean as usual and the views of the frozen lake was beautiful even if the lake was semi-frozen over and there was no snow to deal with. Plenty of room for our 14 people. Had no issues with our stay. Self-check-in so no problems with that. However, the TV in the great room had a small broken area in the upper left corner of the screen, however the distortions were limited to the far left and very top and didn't affect the picture that much. All in all, a great time and next year we may try tor our fifth Christmas at this property. ##### Steven D.
