I stayed at the cabin while my sister and family stayed in a campsite. The cabin was spotless and cutely decorated. I had a relaxing time and would consider a return trip.
Slight snafu checking in but place was clean and comfortable. Close to spooner and all the activity. Place is nice and quiet which was great.
Lake is great for swimming or boating
This was our second year at the cabin. We had a relaxing lovely time. The space is perfect for a couple of people. The setting is serene and quiet. Just what we needed for a few days away. We hope to return next summer!
We were looking for a cabin rental not too far from home, that welcomed us to bring our Lab, and would give us ample opportunity for swimming and fishing. This cabin allowed us to do all of that. Hosts were always quick communicators through the VRBO app, and very laid back and easy to work with while at Whiskey Creek. The cabin was very neat and tidy and had virtually everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We lucked out with a few very nice days, so the kids and I enjoyed hours on rafts and swimming. The kids fished constantly and caught some very large bass right off the dock. At night we wound down with smores and a fire at the cabin. The campground was very quiet after nightfall, perfect for a family who was heading to bed by 11pm. Our dog even enjoyed a couple of days of swimming. Be prepared for no wifi in the cabin, but sitting on your phone isnt the reason you are at the lake. We would visit again.
the cottage is perfect. The weather could have been betterbut we can't help that. Our neighbors and the people in Spooner were great! I recommend this place and hope to come back.

Cottage within private campground
The cabin was excellent. Met our needs. Just used to not being within a private area.
This cottage was very cozy & modern. Nice layout. Great deck with view of lakeside, nice for watching the sunrise & sunset! Owners are very accommodating & friendly. Lake makes for good fishing & swimming. My family of six were very comfortable in the cottage and had a great experience. Will definitely return!
My family and I enjoyed the stay and thought interior was tasteful and accommodating but did not sleep very well because only full size mattresses. Need to find a way to squeeze queen size mattresses in those bedrooms.
If it is not against a law take out that small tree that is blocking lakes side view from the deck.
Beautiful location and cabin. Very clean. Loved the way the cabin was decorated - not cluttered. Used Wisconsin accents. Loved sitting on the porch - looking at lake and reading. I had beautiful weather. It was peaceful and quiet. It is a 2 bedroom. My nephew was planning on making the trip with me. Unfortunately he was sick and stayed home. I had sent for Washburn County travel info. Very helpful. Stopped at Spooner tourist center. Picked up even more info. Took scenic drives to Shell Lake and Stone Lake. Went through stores on Walnut that had tin ceilings in Spooner. Lots of antique stores in area. Went to an apple orchard. Would love to come back to area.
The cottage was clean and nicely decorated. It worked great for our small group of 2 adults an infant and a dog. We enjoyed time on the lake and hiking around the campground and area.
