  • This fabulous semi-detached Lakeland stone cottage in the village of Grasmere is a perfect retreat for those wanting glorious views, walks straight from your door and it's only a 5 minutes stroll from the village of Grasmere with its array of restaurants, shops and drinking holes.


    The cottage is all on one level making it ideal for those who require no stairs. Through the covered porch (handy for leaving those muddy boots in) you have the hallway with the living room directly to your left as you enter, here you have comfortable seating on two sofas and dual aspect windows giving you glorious vistas towards sour milk ghyll and the fells beyond. If you ever tire of the view there is a well-stocked library, flat screen TV and DVD player for you to enjoy.


    Continuing along the hallway you have the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are light and airy with countryside views from the windows and offer plenty of storage space for your stay; they each have an en suite shower room.


    Finally, we have the kitchen and diner, this has been completely refurbished with a modern feel and is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven and fridge and all that you could possibly need for your holiday. In this room, we also have the farmhouse style kitchen table, perfect for the family to gather around to plan your day's activities.


    Outside you have access to two areas, directly outside the kitchen there is a small enclosed garden area with table and chairs, and across the quiet road, there is another riverside location with picnic table, a lovely spot to enjoy the fantastic scenery. You may be lucky to see one of the red squirrels which make regular visits to the gardens to feed.


    There is an abundance of walks directly from your door with Easdale Tarn only a short hike away.


    Grasmere village is only a short distance away, here you have a selection of restaurants, bars and local shops and not forgetting the famous Grasmere gingerbread shop where you can pick up a treat for yourself or a gift to take home with you.


    Private Parking is provided across the quiet road 5m from the property.


    WIFI is provided throughout the property. Phone signal isn't reliable at the property but easily found if you walk 2 minutes down the road.
