« This property is having a complete renovation. I would not have stayed if i had any idea. Nothing on website indicated anything. We stayed 4 nights and I guess you are totally on your own to find clean towels, toilet paper etc. Hotel was permeated with paint and adhesive smells. Open Rooms under these circumstances should not cost $158 per night. »

We loved the beautiful area and lake view, clean room, delicious breakfast, quiet atmosphere, and all the nice extras that they made us feel so comfortable and well taken care of. The host was so helpful and had such a wonderful way of making us feel right at home. We hope we can go back someday! It was a blessing! »

« The staff were rude and racist. They gave the maintenance guy a key to my room, and he just came into my room without knocking. The AC in the room was not working. The bathtub, was not draining the water out properly. »

« Room was clean, no bad smells. Nice big fridge and microwave. Plenty of towels and linens. I did not have breakfast but the breakfast area looked great! Front desk clerk was cheerful and helpful. Property around the area needs help, I’m sure it’s no fault of hotel ownership cause the place right next to it is run down and boarded up. Frontage road is absolutely atrocious, full of potholes. I’d stay again. »

« We stayed at The Heartland Inn in Park Rapids and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. They were wonderful with our dogs, which meant a lot to us and made traveling with pets easy. The breakfast was far better than expected—well stocked with lots of options, great coffee, and excellent donuts. The pool area was also a highlight—really impressive and very well maintained....

« The property itself was clean and perfectly acceptable. The walls were thin, and the neighbors, loud. The TV volume could not be adjusted, and so was too quiet to hear. Oddly, though, I could hear the neighbor's TV just fine! An ok spot for an overnight, located near a beautiful park and close to restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. »

« Nicely placed on a lake, you will enjoy the sunset from there! Clean, warm in winter, confortable bed, we enjoyed our stay. Owners only started a few months ago and were very nice! »
