Best location in Vilamoura
Marina Plaza is the best location in Vilamoura. We had an out of hours check in and the communication was 1st class.

Good and bad but adequate
There was good and bad things about this hotel. Pros very big, great location and great communication from the agent. Cons very old and desperately needs a refurb. No air conditioning but fortunately it felt ok, very noisy as in the best marina area. No wifi and I never book a hotel without wifi but again I managed with my own data. No swimming pool again I would never book a hotel without one, luckily the beach was very close. I found various defects in the rooms, broken light switches and a knife rammed into the shower holder to keep it in place. The kitchen was adequate but only one gas ring actually worked. Overall it was ok but wouldn’t stay again as I felt it was old and needs a major refit.

great location poor flat - fantastic view
the water from the bath and bathroom sink was BROWN no light in the bathroom area the bath badly chipped and damaged great location BUT not where the office is .. and not told how to collect keys after office was closed had to wait over an hours to be given keys and after a long day travelling - not good NO free wifi ... only if you go to reception a good long walk away no pool or pool to share

This property suits me down to the ground, it has everything there if i wish to use it, over looks the marina and you couldnt wish to wake up to a better view, everything is close at hand from bars to restaurants, this apartment has had a lovely revamp, i was well pleased and tbe agents are excellent.

The apartment was conveniently located.
The apartment was over restaurants and during the week I was there I lost count of the cockroaches running around the apartment of which five I managed to kill.

Not for me !!
If you want somewhere cheap then this could be right up your street, now a days a safe is very basic, these do not have them, we spent ages every time we went out trying to lock the patio doors, if you got one side to lock the other popped out, the cleaner after cleaning the apartment left one side open and with no safe as well it was a worry, our apartment was right over a restaurant, luckily for us it didn't do much trade so the noise wasn't to bad, just the kitchen side you could hear, would I book these again NO not at all.... sorry

Nice apartments in a central location
Disappointed to see there was not twin beds but rather a double and a pull out bed. While a central location the first individual door apartments numbers could be better signposted

Myself and my friend stayed here for 3 nights and all I can say is it was just perfect!!!! We had an apartment overlooking the Marina, the view was amazing, perfect location, you are right in the center of the action, fantastic restaurants and pubs, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartments are clean, plenty of hot water and a balcony, what more could you want...

Fantastic view
This apartment was exactly as advertised and I would definitely return, The receptionist rang the day before we were expected to confirm the time of our arrival and told us they would stay open late to wait for us. What she didnt explain was that 'reception' is actually a property rental office just 2 blocks away. Luckily our taxi driver knew this and took us straight there but I dont know how we would have found out otherwise. But that was the only complaint that we had, The receptionist was very helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean, even for me who is o,c,d, Yes its rather dated and could do with a lick of paint but it was very clean had absolutely eveything we needed and the view really was fantastic.

Reception staff, first class.
Flew out on a Sunday evening and i was aware that the reception closes normally at 7pm as it is a real estate office where you pick your key up from.Prior to departure from the uk i recieved a text informing me of this and asking my flight times.I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and how good the communication was, eg. On that Sunday evening we got delayed but on arrival at Faro airport i recieved a text message from them saying they were aware of the delay and had given me an emergency number to ring on arrival at the reception/office to ring for someone to meet me, I arrived at 22.10 and they had kept it open waiting for me!! unbelievable service.

Excellent value for money.
6 of us hired 3 x twin studio, We were seperated in different blocks however they were still reasonably close. Reception was Difficult to find as it doubles up with an estate agents office however the lady was helpful and friendly. That was the only time we saw anyone but again we didn't need anything because the place is clean and tidy and clean towels were brought to our apartment after two days.Excellent value for money.

Our holiday in Marina Plaza
We had an excellent time and did not want to leave .Just a few minutes from the beach and so close to the Marina we enjoyed shopping and eating out .Vilamoura is a lovely place to visit.

Excellent location overlooking the marina
This is a small apartment with no air conditioning but is in an excellent location with a balcony overlooking the marina where we spent most evenings enjoying a glass of wine and the view. Although the bathroom is old and the shower head keeps falling down it is very good value for money as it is extremely cheap. Because there is no air conditioning it can be a bit noisy at night if the windows are open because it is right by the bars and restaurants. Not far to walk though. The staff at the Garvetur office are very friendly and sort out any requirements quickly and efficiently.

Great hotel if you stay up until the bars close!
Right in the middle or everything consequently extremely noisy at, night, until after 4 on Saturday night. We had a lovely view from our 1 bedroom apartment. It was well equipped and the office staff were lovely. There is no air conditioning so you need to have windows open so can't avoid the noise. Lack of sleep did spoil the experience!

Great location - right on the Marina with lovely views. Couldn't be better. Big apartment - comfy bed, lovely balcony to people and boat watch! Great break. Celia on reception so helpful - we had a great time.

Central Apartments for Couples.
We didn't know where the reception was when the shuttle bus dropped us off,as there are different company's that help run the Marina Plaza.Everything is there with what you expect in an apartment.The view outside on the balcony was amazing overlooking the Marina.It couldn't get any better.

Great value, Great Location
Any comments I have about this Apartment have to be taken in the context that it was VERY CHEAP. This was the best location in Vilamoura as it overlooked the marina bars and restaurants and was only 5 minus walk to the beach. Unfortunately the lack of air-con means you have to have the windows open and it is therefore a bit noisy when the bars chuck out. Sitting on the balcony each evening enjoying a sunset drink more than makes up for that. The ladies at the GARVETUR office (incidentally where you have to collect the keys) where very helpful and as well as upgrading our booking to one bedroom apartment arranged a late check out for us at no extra cost. The accommodation is basic, clean but great value for money.

Muy ágiles y amables en el registro, un poco tarde la hora de entrada (17:00), hay que dejar fianza de 300 € (lo comunican el día anterior de llegada por WhatsApp), lugar privilegiado del apartamento justo en la Marina (un placer desayunar mirando los barcos), apartamento algo caluroso le falta aire acondicionado, tienen utensilios indispensables para cocinar, cuenta con lavadora, el soporte de la ducha le falta reforma, bien de espacio y confortable para disfrutar de la Marina y de la playa (5 minutos andando). Cuenta con aparcamiento propio, un lujo para la zona, que es de pago. Muy buena opción.

Jaren zeventig appartement waar wel wat nieuwe matrassen in mogen. Geen internet of airco, maar wel direct aan de haven, prima uitzicht en met bijbehorende parkeerplaats compleet met magnetron waterkoker, broodrooster etc. maar zonder een beetje afwasmiddel vaatdoekje peper of zout

A atendente (Telma) foi muito atenciosa e simpatica. O apartamento tinha vista pra marina muito bonita, mas tem que pedir a vista na hora de reservar. O apartamento era muito bonito e aconchegante, a cozinha muito boa e bonita. A cidade de vilamoura não parecia nada portuguesa, parecia mais a uma miami, cheia de bares ingleses e turistas ingleses. O apartamento não tem wifi.

Läget var jätte bra. Hela området ligger lite "off", vilket innebär att du bör hyra en bil om du vill ta dig till andra närliggande områden och byar som kanske är lite mer Portugal än detta. Detta var lite "Monte Carlo", helt ok om det är det man ute efter. Att notera, som INTE framgick av varken bilder eller info på Hotels.com var att detta var ett rum med sov loft, kan vara bra att veta. Städningen fick vi tillkalla efter några dagar...
