Bed Bugs/Ticks/or whatever type of insects they were Please be aware of the initial beauty of this home. We stayed here for one night in other to catch a flight. In the far back left bedroom 2 of my family members woke up with what looked to be bed bugs crawling on them. When I contacted host and provided photos, the stated that they thought they might be ticks, attempting to reassure me that the insects being ticks would somehow be a better situation. What we were offered as compensation was 75% off one day for our next stay. My family was pretty upset and one of them requested our money back through a different platform. The host stated that WE violated terms and agreement by the family member reaching out to them. We called VRBO to discuss, providing photos and videos of actual insects, bite marks in 2 family members and email exchange as was told that they would mediate with the property owner. After VRBO was engaged, I received messages from the property owner that were not conducive to any sort of resolution to say the least. They were extremely condescending.
