The decor is insane, the atmosphere feels completely immersive, and the staff were exceptional from start to finish. Overall, Sacred House is unforgettable and absolutely deserves 5/5."

Zara Cave Hotel +10

8/10 Good

"Interesting cave hotel style. Amenities definitely needs a bit more maintenance work. Deniz from the Breakfast cafe was an angel, helpful, warm and such a sweet person! Really appreciate his thoughtfulness!"

Cappadocia Caves Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Great staff that helped book everything including airport transfer, balloon, ATV tours, etc."

Göreme Cave Rooms

8/10 Good

"Gunay the main guy at reception was really lovely and nice, so helpful, The cat Luna was also very welcoming. The hotel had character and was quaint. The only issue i had was the breasfast staff. I was leaving the breakfast area and took an extra cookie that was in a wrapper and was told off, he said that i can't do take away and can only eat it. I think that was pretty inappropriate and mean as i only took a few extra cookies and i hardly ate anything at the breakfast table, plus it was just a cookie. I also think it was not welcoming or nice to tell your hotel guest that unless it was unreasonable i was emptying everything out onto a doggy bag, Please train your staff better."

Barceló Cappadocia

10/10 Excellent

"Great breakfast and very nice people, very hospitable."

What is the best area to stay in Akkoy?

The best area to stay in Akkoy for a truly memorable experience is within the 'cave hotel' districts, particularly around the central parts of the village. These areas are distinguished by their unique accommodations carved directly into the soft volcanic rock formations, offering a distinctive stay that reflects the region's history. You'll find these hotels often integrated into the natural landscape, providing stunning views of the valleys and fairy chimneys. The village centre, though small, provides easy access to local eateries and small shops.Couples looking for a romantic and unique getaway will find the cave hotels in Akkoy particularly appealing. The quiet surroundings and scenic views create a ideal setting for a special trip. For those seeking a blend of comfort and authenticity, staying in the heart of Akkoy offers convenience for exploring the immediate area and easy access to tours departing for the wider Nevşehir region.

When is the best time to go to Akkoy?

The best time to visit Akkoy, Nevşehir, Türkiye, is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months. These periods offer pleasant weather with moderate temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the region's unique landscapes and outdoor activities. Spring brings blooming flowers to the valleys, while autumn showcases the changing colours of the vineyards. The summer months can be quite hot, and winter can be chilly with occasional snow, which might limit some activities. For couples looking for a romantic getaway, spring is particularly lovely.
