Great place to stay, excellent position on the promenade. Very friendly staff, good food from the restaurant. Nice spacious and clean room, would gladly return.
What a lovely stay! Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and a super comfortable bed!
The staff were all so friendly, happy and helpful, making us feel really welcome. The cosy, atmospheric bar and dining area was a lovely place to spend the evening, with fantastic food and a beautiful selection of wines and whiskies.
Breakfast was equally delicious, with the Eggs Benedict an absolute must!
A really lovely place to stay, full of character and warmth. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!
The best thing was the huge bay window with a stunning sea view. Fantastic service from the very helpful and warm staff, excellent breakfast and, in the evening the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious.
The Glengower was perfect for our two night stay in Aberystwyth.
Our room on the third floor provided a good night's sleep and was a good size, with a good bathroom. One thing to note is that there is no lift, so if that is an issue for you, you would be advised to go for a lower floor.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of options.
We took advantage of the excellent evening meal from the bar, which we ate on the terrace at the front with a sea view, but which could have also been eaten inside in a very pleasant area.
The best aspect of the Glengower was the very friendly and helpful staff.
Great location right on the sea front. Lovely rooms and very comfy bed. The bedrooms and on suites appear to have all been recently renovated. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely. The only slight drawback is the parking - there isn't any. So, we had to risk parking on a random street away from the hotel. Also, the air vent for the kitchen extraction is like an aircraft engine blasting away right at the front of the building where the outdoor seating is.

Very nice staff exelent rooms well looked after lovely location
Lovely, clean room, friendly staff and a good breakfast. I would definitely recommend the Glengower to solo travellers. It is a beautiful location on the sea front. I will stay there again in the future.
A perfect short break from start to finish. The Glengower is a well run, perfectly organised place. The team are all friendly and proficient in what they do. Lovely rooms, excellent food, we really cannot praise this place enough. We will be back and would not hesitate to recommend anyone to stay here.

Friendly staff, knowledgeable lovely food and area, room clean and tidy, lovely sea view
We had a lovely overnight stay. We paid extra for a sea view room which was well worth it. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious.
Staff were marvellous and really made our stay here. Everyone was friendly, chatty and helpful. We ate there twice in the evenings and the food was good and reasonable value, as was the breakfast. The bar had a nice vibe and was fun to sit in; you can sit out and admire the sea view at the front. Parking was a little problematic, and in high season must be highly challenging.
The hotel is a listed building on the seafront and apparently this means that it can not be fitted with a lift, so you need to be fit to access the third floor rooms. Staff will help with cases though. Room was clean and met our needs, Generally we enjoyed staying there, and would come again. Good if you are reasonably fit.
