"Overall, the size of the apartment was adequate. The issue we had is that there was a leak in one of the bedrooms. Maintenance arrived and was unable to solve the leak, so they just put a bucket underneath it. After calling the support line, they were unable to relocate us to another apartment. Therefore, we had to go cash out-of-pocket to find a separate hotel room. We are still awaiting feedback from the property on a refund after alerting them of this issue six days ago. "I recently stayed at The Redmont Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama, and while I was excited about experiencing a property with such a rich history, my overall experience fell short of expectations. The Redmont is known as one of Birmingham’s historic hotels, and I appreciate the effort to preserve its legacy. However, despite being told the property had been renovated, I struggled to see where many meaningful improvements had been made. There is a difference between historic charm and simply looking old, and unfortunately, much of the hotel felt outdated rather than intentionally vintage or thoughtfully restored. I want to start by acknowledging the staff, who were excellent throughout my stay. Everyone I encountered was courteous, helpful, professional, and genuinely pleasant. Their customer service was easily the highlight of my experience. The condition of my suite, however, was disappointing. There were stains on the carpet, the footboard of the bed had dried, crusted stains on it, and the headboard was noticeably dusty. The mirror in the room appeared to be pulling away from the wall and hung crooked. In the bathroom, there was visible rust in the shower, and some of the light fixtures were not working. Another issue that stood out was the overall cleanliness of the room. Beyond the more obvious concerns, it felt like the room was in need of a thorough deep cleaning. The baseboards were noticeably dirty and covered in dust, and there was a general lack of attention to detail"
