"This facility is not owned by Landing. They are merely a tenant sub-letting and attempting to do everything online. However they didn't know what bldg our unit was in. Didn't know the right room number, and didn't tell us in advance we would need a new access code every day to get into our room. I requested that management get in touch, but they didn't until I sent a bad review and said nobody told them of a problem."

"Free Parking is actually street parking, although there were adequate spots it was not something provided by the hotel. Got into our room and first thing my wife said was the a/c unit was extremely noisy that would make it hard to sleep. I spoke to the hotel representative (only one on site) and she put us in another room and the a/c unit in that one was fine. Several booking sites, including Hotel DeFuniak's own webpage indicates there is a free breakfast with the room. In fairness the hotel website calls it a Continental Breakfast, but there was none of that or any food for that matter. In fact, when we were in the lobby area there was no one from the hotel even around and the bar/restaurant areas were locked. Also, it would have been nice to have a page or two in the room explaining the hotel amenities, how to work the tv controls (there were two and you had to use both to get the tv to work), breakfast, etc. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. It is quaint, but not a good value overall."

"This was a very nice apartment for rent.”The Landing” is a company who rents apartments from a complex and furnishes the apartments to rent out for one night or for a month or more. Everything was spot on! Some places you rent for short term, they ask you to wash your bedding etc before leaving. None of that! It’s a very quiet community, dog park, pool. However, you cannot get help from the apartment complex with your codes etc. It’s a sublet apartment. Codes and wifi you must contact “The Landing” and not Expedia or the “Arcadia apartment office” When you check in to the Landing online, they will take you through everything. Thankfully I did screenshot each page I checked because I was never able to access their app that they ask you to download and use. You need to save the key code for the front door that you are given. Save it because everytime you need to go in the building, you must use. Then you will have a code for your apartment door. The door has a “smart door lock”. We had never seen one of these. We were totally stumped at first. They don’t explain it. It’s an all black door knob and all you need to do is touch the knob and it will light up with white numbers like a clock and you punch in the code to the apartment. You do need to turn the deadbolt away from the door jam to unlock. When you leave, make sure you deadbolt the door. "
