"The staff is unbelievable nice. If you need to leave early, before breakfast starts, don’t worry. They will have fresh coffee and warm pão de queijo beginning 3am. Nice room, comfortable bed, great shower. "

"I like the restaurant and space all around. What I did not like is that the roof top was closed so there was no space to sit outside for fresh air even if the pool was closed, they need to put some tables and chairs so people can enjoy the view or get some fresh air."

"Very nice hotel and great location in Porto Alegre. Lots of restaurants and shops around. There is a nice park nearby for walks. The food was great. The gym has a good variety of equipment. The spa services are very good. Every once in awhile there were some weird smells that were not pleasant, but overall great place to stay."

"Very basic rooms and unwelcoming reception staff: Swan tower Novo Hamburgo is said to be a 4 star hotel from the outside and in the lobby but it lacks the very basic room amenities such as a bathrobe, a pair of disposable slippers, an iron and a simple coffee jug- no 4am coffee lol unless you called over the phone (paid extra) and that would probably be a bother understandably. Bar looked amazing but it was a real struggle to get anyone to help. Always empty and unattended. Rooms were VERY basic...

"This was our fourth time staying at the Ritter. We stayed in the newer section which is brighter and has larger rooms. The breakfast is very good. The location, across the street from the Bus Station makes it a great location for transiting."

"This place was fantastic and treated me and my girlfriend and her son and her babysitter amazingly well in three rooms that were close together and they treated us kindly and had fantastic room service and there is shopping and a medical center right next door and convenient parking and a road that connects everything in the city right in front. I will go there again and I enjoyed everyone that I met"

"We booked this hotel based upon location, kitchenette and price. We were in Porto Alegre only the two nights we stayed at this hotel so it is difficult to comment on because we have nothing to compare to. That said, it is close to the few cultural attractions listed in guide books and the web. It is on the main pedestrian street in the old city and near the wet market. Little if any English spoken by staff. Breakfast the usual fare for a brasilian hotel in this category. Room was large....
