"Amazing Location AND Affordable "
This was a real "find". We stopped in Charleston for two nights in between my son's two baseball tournaments. I never thought I would find a place on King Street that was so affordable. It was perfect- we were able to walk everywhere; the city market was literally right outside the back door. Rooms were large, decorated as you would expect a historic hotel to be- high ceilings, courtyards. The A/C worked so good- a welcome respite after walking the streets in the awful low country humidity. Staff was friendly and helpful..this will be our "go to" anytime we are in the Charleston area. Highly recommend.

"Closest off location comfort for good price"
We stayed 2 nights for a quick view of Charleston. Hotel is right off highway 17. They have a shuttle into town on the hour but was not practical for any of our plans. We would drive in to Parking at Meeting and Cumberland for $1 per 1/2 hr max $10. Rooms are clean new bright and spacious. We had 2 queens with comfortable bedding. Nice Marina on the river by the property but our room had view of parking since we booked through an outside website. Breakfast is extra 14.95 adult and 9.99 kids, tried it and OK typical warm order eggs pancake, waffle with cold buffet, OJ and coffee. A family could eat better cheaper in Mt Pleasant the morning you go visit a Plantation. There is no bellboy help with bags but luggage carts are next to free parking under building with easy elevator access to rooms without having to trek through lobby. Safe choice hotel if you get a good deal.

Pocket Guide: Charleston Historic Charleston 3 stars Hotels

Dating back to Colonial times, Charleston, home to 120,000 people, was nearly obliterated during the American Civil War. However, some historic buildings remain and are popular destinations, including Fort Sumnter, Boone Hall Plantation, and the Old Exchange Buildings. The South Carolina Aquarium, home to 10,000 plants and animals, is another popular tourist attraction.
