![A novelty gas station built in 1922 along US Route 12. No longer operational, the pumps proudly display their last sale (1.87/gal). The station was hand-built by a local businessman as a contemporary jab at the Teapot Dome Scandal, in which Secretary of the Interior Albert Fall illegally leased oilfields in Teapot Dome, WY and Elk Hills, CA to private companies. Fall was found guilty of bribery, fined $100,000 and sent to prison.

Plans to restore and relocate the teapot to a park in downtown Zillah are underway.

« While my room was fine, my friend that also stayed there at the same time found 2 dead cockroaches in the bathroom. It was a sketchy area. The facility is not that great. I booked a room with microwave and fridge, and they put me in a room without. When I mentioned it to the staff, she said: "there is a microwave here in the lobby and I'll find a fridge for you....". Did she really expected me to walk all the way there to heat up whatever i needed? that throw me off.... I had to insist to be...

« The staff in the room were great. Nice and clean. The hot tub in the room was a great plus really needed to wind down. We did leave a little on the early side, but from what I saw in the breakfast room it could’ve been a little better. All I saw was waffle mix two types of cereal, and some bread on a toaster. »

![A novelty gas station built in 1922 along US Route 12. No longer operational, the pumps proudly display their last sale (1.87/gal). The station was hand-built by a local businessman as a contemporary jab at the Teapot Dome Scandal, in which Secretary of the Interior Albert Fall illegally leased oilfields in Teapot Dome, WY and Elk Hills, CA to private companies. Fall was found guilty of bribery, fined $100,000 and sent to prison.

Plans to restore and relocate the teapot to a park in downtown Zillah are underway.
