"Pretty local"
We had a problem that the light in our bathroom went out and our hair dryer didn't work. The staff was very accomodating and allowed me to use a different room to dry my hair while it was being fixed. The room had shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap in dispensers only. These products were very watered down and that's why I didn't give the overall rating a excellent, but the room itself was fine. I noticed in the room I dried my hair that they were given soap bars, though the other products were still from dispensers. The breakfast was very good, and there were cookies and coffee available during the day. The location was a bit of a hike to and from Pike Place and the waterfront, but we're walkers and we didn't mind that at all.

"Perfect location downtown."
Excellent central location downtown to get around anywhere-- within walking or, it's right on a major bus line. Just blocks from water, too. My 13 year old son and I spent 4 nights there and explored beautiful Seattle. The Belltown was a perfect hotel for us, and the location unbeatable. The hotel was doing some reconstruction and looks as though will be nice improvements. It's not a fancy place, but comfortable and pleasant. Fair price for its location.

University Inn Seattle - A Piece of Pineapple Hospitality

4140 Roosevelt Way Ne, Seattle - Map
Great location and they are right across the street from the Rosevelt clinic. So if you have appointments there it's very convenient to. Also there is a Shuttle that picks you up there and takes you to Harbor View and the UWMC. The only bad thing is there was a bum that was digging around in the Donation Box at odd hours of the morning so stay clear of him. It seems to be his corner and there was a drunk gal that was hanging out with him as well. They didn't really bug is but they came over to us and it made us a little nervous. We are from a small town so we weren't use to seeing things like that. Over all we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful in anything that we asked and the breakfast was good too.

"Walkable hotel from all of your Seattle hotspots"
I would have given this place five stars if they had working air conditioning! When I brought it up to the front desk we were instructed to use a box fan in the corner of our room. While it kept the temperature bearable, had it been any hotter we probably would have cancelled our reservations and found someplace else. The location was to die for however. The downhill walk to Pike's Place Market is unbelievable, but the uphill walk back will have you calling an Uber! We walked pretty much anywhere we wanted to go, and Ubers weren't too expensive otherwise. Highly recommend Tango if you want tapas while you're in the Emerald City, short walk and amazing food!! Overall, it's not a bad place, but I would have liked to know about the lack of A/C before booking.

The hotel itself is fine and is a good value, but some may not like the location. Security would be improved if people had to pass through an inside lobby to access rooms.
