"It was so cold outside so we stayed in, fireplace and heaters kept us warm as well as the thick soft blankets, kitchen was equipped with all that I needed to cook, and the shower was plenty hot, sitting on the front porch looking up the foothills was breath taking and my dog had a blast, they left treats and a food bowl for her and had clean up stations throughout, was worth every dime "

"The cottage was just as shown. Extremely clean, cozy & within walking distance of Village of Black Mountain. We didn’t cook, but kitchen appeared to be well equipped for simple meal prep. We would definitely stay again. Check in & communication was easy."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! When we drove up and saw the relaxing front porch with seating, and the firepit close by, we knew it would be just like home! And the inside was cozy and comfortable. Plenty of room for teenagers and young children as well as adults. ( that master bedroom though! heaven!) The hospitality was great! snacks on the table, interesting books in case we were up for reading, even a pair of binoculars so that you can see the goats on the mountain out the front window!"

Our hostess, Dellene had gone to great lengths to make her property clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing (we thoroughly enjoyed looking at all of her antiques and unique decorations). The bubbling brook running through the back of the property was so tranquil we immediately felt the tension leave our bodies and started relaxing as soon as we got there. We loved every minute we were at Dellene's River Retreat and hope to return one day."

"My wife and I are happy to recommend Jame's place to anyone. Clean, organized, quiet, landscaped beautifully on a long and winding road which is but a hope skip and a jump to Asheville. There's an Ingles for groceries nearby, if you need one, restaurants, gas, there's even a quiet little tavern up the road a bit if that's your thing. Friendly people there. Lastly, we had the place all to ourselves, felt like we owned the place. For me personally, that's a nice bit of freedom. Trust is...

"Home was very clean, fully apportioned with household items, owner helped with check-in, very quick response, plenty of games and activities. Great vacation for northerners to enjoy the sunshine in the south!"

"Bald Head Diamond is a great cottage for a couple. Cozy, quiet, and quaint. Within easy walking distance of Jules, bike rentals, and boat gazing in the harbor. Hugh was a very friendly and responsive host."

There was plenty of space for all of us (I have 2 20-something and 1 high school age sons). The location was great, and the host was fantastic. "This is a great house for a long weekend in Asheville. The home was clean, comfortable and in the perfect location to all the Asheville activities. The owner was super responsive and incredibly helpful during our stay. Only thing to note is that the house is on a pretty busy street, not an issue but just something to keep in mind if you have kids and/or pets with you. Overall, we had an excellent time and would stay here again!"

"Great place for a relaxing vacation. Close enough to all the hikes we were doing. Then we were able to come back and hop in the hot tub. About 15 minutes away from restaurants but keep in mind a lot close around 3pm on sundays. Small incline for the drive way but not on a busy road. Lots of beautiful plants around the cabin!"
