“Smelly Smoking Room Ruined Entire Stay”
After driving for hours, we expected this to be a great Hilton hotel.We were greeted by a not-so professional looking man who was talking to one of the cleaning ladies in another language so we had to wait for their conversation to end before he checked us in. Once checked in we walk down the hallway to our room, and can already smell cigarette smoke halfway to our room.When we open our door we are greeted by the most unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke!We were very sad and disappointed.I remember requesting a non-smoking room.Back at the front desk we ask the guy to change our rooms because we had booked a non-smoking.He said the fine print in our receipt should state that rooms are given out on a first come first serve basis. This is ridiculous!What is the point of booking a room a month in advance if they are going to give your room away to anyone else who wants it just because you get there a little after them?He said there were only two other rooms available which were also Smoking and if we wanted to check one of them to see if it smelled “better” than ours.That room smelled worse than ours!We reluctantly chose to stay in our original room because we had already paid for the 3 nights.I called front desk later and asked if we could move to a Non-Smoking room the next day. The lady was nice and said she was looking into it and said they’d move us tomorrow and that quite a few people had to be put in smoking rooms too. See below for the rest.

This is not Hilton quality.How can they give their customers who made reservations in advance a stinky smelly smoky room so they can book someone else who probably didn’t have reservations and make more money?I had an awful night,slept with my face under the covers the entire night, tossed and turned, got no rest!The next morning I went to confirm that they were indeed going to move us to a non-smoking and the lady said yes, but then when she asked what my room number was, it turns out she didn’t have ours written down. Good thing I went to confirm or we might have had another night in the smoking room. They told us to leave our things in our room and that they would be moved for us while we were out. I was surprised they didn’t even offer us a voucher for breakfast or something to make up for our awful experience, all we kept hearing was “we apologize for that”, with a smile. We were already planning on having breakfast at the hotel the 3 mornings we were there but after all this we weren’t about to give the Hilton more of our money for such crappy service. Our new room smelled much better. But the cleaning ladies made a lot of noise when cleaning the rooms across the hall. It sounded like they were dropping things on the floor, we heard a lot of clanking of glasses.
