“Convenient for travellers”
This is a comfortable if older hotel. My only complaint was there were no robes in the rooms and it was very chilly outside and it would have been nice to have had this amenitie. Other than that it was great. If you need to catch a flight the next day as we did it is really close to the airport and they have a shuttle. I would recommend this hotel.
“Perfect for early morning departures”
Great hotel (Hilton!) across the street, literally, from Sea-Tac airport. Very nice room, extremely comfy bed and free airport shuttle. They even welcomed us with a fresh, warm chocolate chip cookie. How can you beat that?
“Over-priced”
I was willing to pay what I considered a substantial premium for a room at the DoubleTree near Seattle Airport - on the assumption that I was paying for a better quality hotel. I was deeply disappointed. - the decor of the hotel is very dated - the neighborhood isn't that nice - my room card had to be re-keyed every time after I left the room - a chemical smell permeated my room shortly after I arrived (they said there was renovation work being done to the room above me) - and I insisted that they move me to a different room - which caused me to lose the mountain view (for which I paid an additional premium over a regular room) - in addition to paying an above-market rate for a shabby hotel experience - I was also charged for parking (which, after the chemical smell fiasco, I asked them to credit my account - which they did) You can have a substantially better experience - at an equal or better price - by staying at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle:
“3 stars hotel 5 stars charge”
Watch out the hiding cost. Parking $21 per night. Internet $4.95 per hour unless you have AT&T Wi-Fi service to void the charge.
“Good place to stay”
Good customer service and the staff was very friendly. clean and close to airport
“Love the hotel”
The hotel is great.
“Not Next Time...”
I think I'm understanding of Expedia's rating now. This is about the 3rd time I used a 3 star property and felt VERY disappointed. Of course I realize it depends on what you are accustomed to. This Doubletree? Too old, too musty, old decor (mid-70's?), Next time (and from here on out), I go 4 stars and above. Plus it would be nice to know when the building was built.
“Seattle ez going hotel”
Hotel was good up they get you for parking, $20 a day
“exceed expectation except...”
The Plus: Comfy beds. Functional desk. Good location (right by SEA-TAC airport), spacious room, nice size bathroom with extra vanity in the entrance way. No pale white florescent lighting which I always find appalling in hotels (please use warm white florescent hospitality people, no?). Warm cookies at check in is a nice touch. The hotel is not the newest but the resort like setting with plenty of natural light in the public area is nice and relaxing especially for winter in the Pacific Northwest. The Minus: Used water bottle on the sink, dirty dishes outside the room (I checked in at 10pm. Hello housekeeping?!). SLOOOOW TV remote response. Expensive parking (park on the other side of the road for half the price).
“Great Hotel”
Awesome room size and accessories.
