“would recommend!!!!”
would visit again, very quiet for the city.parking good and easily accessable.hotel and parking very safe.staff excellent and very accomadating.
“A Hotel With Personality.”
Built at the turn of the century, this quirky yet very appealing hotel has been lovingly refurbished in warm reds and golds which echo the warmth of the reception you receive from the extremely charming and helpful staff. Sherry and cookies welcome you back late afternoon; you can relax in the very comfortable lounge after a busy day sight seeing. The bedroom was of a good size with a very comfy bed. All in all, an excellent choice, definitely something different and we would love to return in the not too different future.
“Charming San Francisco Character”
The decor of the hotel was as depicted in their brochure and on line. Excellent location for public transport - bus stop immediately outside the door and 3 blocks comfortable walk to cable car stop. The hotel staff were helpful with maps and providing info on public transport - route numbers to travel to various sites of interest. The fires in the lounge and afternoon tea were very welcome after a day out. The only slight complaint would be that my room was a bit cold of an evening - I was there in May, don't know what it would be like in winter - if heating is available? Overall, the Queen Anne was an enjoyable part of my 2 days in San Francisco - loved the city, the sights, the architecture, the feel of the city, the ease of finding my way around.
“true SF experience”
This Victorian decorated hotel is a convienent place from which to see the city. Its on a quiet street, yet close to the sites. A romantic getaway for the weekend. Friendly staff, comfortable lobby, and easy parking. We will be back.
“Lovely Stay”
My Mother & I spent a week in San Francisco for my birthday and were very happy with the Queen Anne. They had our room ready before normal check in time since they knew we would be there early and had a wonderful Continental Breakfast every morning as well as Tea & Sherry in the afternoon. They even have a drop off service in the morning if you need a ride somewehre! The room was very comfortable and spacious. The only downside was the Wi-Fi was spotty at best and their is no A.C.and the day we arrived it was almost 100 degrees! All in all, I would not hesitate to go back!
“Beautiful Restoration”
What a fine job was done in bringing out the beauty of this wonderful old building. The common areas were inviting with a nice fireplace (San Francisco is cold, even in the summer) and the breakfast had variety and great coffee (with real half-and-half, not those awful dairy substitute creamers.) Only problem was in the parking area the pine trees rained big drops of sap on our car, had to buy a can of tar remover to get that stuff off. Try to check in early so you can have a better chance of not having to park under the pine trees.
“I LUV SF”
Excellent hotel bien situé, transports en commun a proxmité, aucun pb
“Not the standard hotel”
Charming old building and rooms with character. Not the bland standard Hotel, individual rooms and service. Don't expect 5 star luxury from the big hotel chains.
“Good Place”
no problems with our stay. breakfast was fine. everything well stocked and more then one could ask for. nice lobbies and the room was just fine.
“Christmas is the best time!!”
The hotel is probably beautifully decorated all the time, but at Christmas they really go overboard! The service was very attentive, and the breakfast was above my expectations. We had a "queen" superior room, with a little sitting room area. I think it was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in!!!
