“Clean but noisy”
Good hotel and great location

Hotel is clean. Staff are nice and accomodating. Area is nice with several good restaurants within walking distance. This was my second stay and I will stay there again.
“Nice & quaint”
The hotel was nice and quaint, people at the front desk were helpful and the lobby had a very useful guide to restaurants, tourists stops, etc... The room was clean and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay!
“SF Visit”
This motor inn is clean, convenient and affordable, especially when you consider the free parking. We found a breakfast cafe nearby and a sandwich shop for lunch. Location is perfect - with easy access to Van Ness and a 5 minute walk to the crooked part of Lombard Street. It's about a 20-30 minute hike to North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf but very doable and good exercise. Plenty of interesting people and things to see along the way. Nothing fancy about the rooms - but they are clean, comfortable and well-priced. I would definitely stay here again.
“Would stay they again”
a no frills Hotel but If you are looking for a clean comfortable room at a reasonable price this is the hotel for you we did not have a car but they do have free parking And the room was cleaned right away we went to breakfast and came back it was done ( AN CLEAN ) we found it close to everything and they will arange tours for you the Staff was freindly and very helpful one downfall there is no resturants near to walk only two and one was not open all the time but you can get bus or trolley close and go anywhere for cheap SC pay 1.00 and ride all day so try it (PS the bus drivers most are not very helpful so get info at hotel frist)

Fisherman's Wharf and Union Street shops/restaurants were in walking distance. One of the few nicer hotels in the area that didn't charge extra for parking.
“Well located--Clean--Quiet”
Good Value--The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is located within a reasonable distance to the wharf, cable car line etc. Free Parking!
“Great place to stay”
The staff was good. The house keeping crew was impressive. By mistake I left my wallet in the room. As a normal traveler I cringed at the idea that I would come back and find my wallet missing. To my surprise I found my wallet put to the side and everything in tact. My husband and I were greatful and very relieved. Thanks for being trustworhty.
“Very impressed”
I was a little scared of what I had booked since this hotel was almost half the price of any of the chain hotels in the area but I was very happy with the result. The hotel was basic but clean, rooms decent sized, staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a 10-15 min walk to Fisherman's Wharf (two blocks uphill on the walk back), and there were several good restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel. Definitely recommend and would stay here when I return to San Fran.
