“Sweet budget option with pool in Zona Romantica”
Family run hotel adjacent to restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. International clientele. Super friendly and helpful staff. Huge value for money.
“True "Old Town" Hotel”
THis is an older quaint hotel right in Old Town near the beach. The lovely courtyard is filled with plants. The rooms are colorful. The staff is friendly and helpful, the restaurant attached is the same. I prefer these type of hotels to resorts and so was very happy with it. Prices are very reasonable to be walking distance to beach & the city.
“A Favourite for So Many Reasons”
I love the Posada de Roger. The staff is really friendly, the location is wonderful, and the hotel itself is adorable and beautiful. There are plants and flowers all through the hotel. The courtyard is fun and the couches in the entryway provide a comfy spot to wait, or just sit and visit with fellow travelers. The bed in my room wasn't that comfy; but then I have been to different places (from 2 stars to 5) in Mexico and never had a comfy bed so it's just something I've learned to live with. All in all, I am always happy with my stay at the Posada de Roger. I recommend it for solo or group travelers who are more concerned with the character of the place they're staying than having every luxury and amenity available at your finger tips. It's a basic hotel, which is reflected in the cost per night; but so beautiful, cute, and VERY fun! Also... the location is really fun. Old Town Vallarta is full of character (and characters), close to the beach and even closer to many fun restaurants.
“Great Location”
Located in the old part of town near the beaches, near the bars, near the best restaurants, and very safe.
“Great Old Town Bargain!”
Extremely customer oriented service staff. Great location! A steal for the price.
“Best value in town, charming!”
Very sweet, charming place.
“Great location”
Posada de Roger, although rooms are small, is at a great location--many great restaurants within two blocks, wonderful bars (some gay, some straight) and walking distance to the beach, and taxis just in front.
“Two Rocky Mountain Visitors”
If your looking for a basic clean place to stay in a convenient location I would recommend this hotel. The rooms are basic but clean and for those rooms with a balcony very nice for sitting out and enjoying people watching. The courtyard was peaceful and was a great place to converse with other guest and/or just relax check email or read a good book. As for the staff like any place you will have a full spectrum of good to not so good but overall they treated us well and made every attempt to keep us happy. The location was perfect. It was convenient to the beach, shopping, and a great bakery across the street. The hotel lacks in room wifi in all rooms and could benefit by adding mini fridge and coffee makers to the rooms but they do offer a community kitchen that does offer those amenities. The pool was relaxing and clean and somewhat busy most of the time. Our room was fairly close to the pool and we were delightfully surprised that it was very quiet. Kudos to the staff for the good service and keep up the good work
“Great location - I plan on going back to this hotel!”
I had stayed at Hotel Posada de Roger some years ago... They have renovated the rooms and it is such a nice quaint hotel. As you enter, you will be surrounded by a beautiful garden that is well kept up. Room was very clean and presentable. Pillows however, were a little too flat for me. Staff was great. Though, I was disappointed at the fact that there were only two night stays available through Expedia. We needed three nights and unfortunately had to move to another hotel down the street because they were full. Strangely... I was later told by someone that they had seen a Vacancy sign on after we left???? FYI.....We drove by Nuevo Vallarta and it is nice - but I didn't feel like I was in México. This is why we chose to stay in Romantic Zone. Great restaurants: If you love móle, you need to go to "Jovitas." Great authentic homemade móle. Great breakfast place next door to Hotel Posada de Roger. If you want to feel like being in old town Mexico - Romantic Zone is where you want to be! Enjoy....
“our tourist trip”
if your looking to do PV on a budget this is the place to be... its 2 blocks off the beach.. its clean.. the staff is good... they will change your money without a hassle for almost as much as the bank...... the only down fall is the beds are hard as a rock.. but I understand all beds in Mexico are like that ... The resturant attached to the hotel is one of the best in town for Breakfast and we tried a lot of them
