"Great location in Orange County Va farm land very close to many attractions and with in reach to Charlottesville for a day trip via country road route 20 ( no traffic lights). The cottage is an outbuilding on the Bloomingdale Farm property that is surround by working farms. The view from the porch is peaceful and relaxing with the Blue Ridge off in the distance. When we stayed there was construction on both sides (the only downfall of trip)- otherwise, fantastic spot, great fishing and would return!"

"Very pretty Property. Comfortable, Welcoming, and spacious. The beds and pillows very comfy and nice. Beautiful views. Kitchen has everything needed. We loved the fire place and fire pit. One tip would be to have more information about how the all TV's work - Instructions on starting the gas fire place, fixing the ice machine, and the one burner on the stove would be a plus and having all light fixtures working upon arrival. "We spent a wonderful weekend away at Ken’s lake house. We booked this just a week in advance so we could get away for Mothers Day weekend. The house was possibly the cleanest place that we’ve rented. We didn’t see any bugs or dog hair inside, even though it’s dog friendly and on the lake. "Base Camp D was once again the perfect gathering place for our family Thanksgiving celebration. The kids took over the basement (and hot tub) while the adults visited upstairs. Sitting on the porch next to the heater was perfect for reading, meditating, and intimate conversations. Our only glitch was the breaker throwing twice but maintenance came right away. Wonderful place!"
