“Only place I will stay in Edmonton.”
This is the only place to stay in Edmonton, you get valet parking, it is right on White ave were everything is happening, you can walk to so many good restaurants. The hotel is nothing spectacular on the outside, but the rooms sure make up for it, especially the fire and water suite.
“Best Value”
This is a great hotel for both business and leisure stay. In a great area to just hang out or travel to anywhere around Edmonton. Don't be put off by the 'no parking'. The valet service is great and efficient. If this hotel was in Vancouver i would have paid at least double for it..
“Contemporary & Great Location”
We have also stayed at the Varscona which is owned by the same group, and though we liked the Varscona, we liked this one even more. It was contemporary and young, which made me feel less like I was on a business trip and more like I was vacationing in LA or something. Definitely recommended for younger travellers.
“John Turtle”
Excellent hotel, very nice people at the desk, including those who did the free valet parking for my rental car. Large room, updated decor, reasonably priced snacks in the room, upscale products in the bathroom. I will definitely stay there again.
“Love this hotel. Can't wait to come to Edmonton and stay at the Metterra again!”
We've stayed in the Metterra all five times we've gone to Edmonton in the past year and we love it. The Air Studio room is huge, had a nice little balcony overlooking Whyte Avenue. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The location is great, there are lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby, and all kinds of little shops. Also Whyte Avenue is located near the University LRT Station (about an $8 cab ride) so it's a great place to stay if you're going to a football game, hockey game or concert at Rexall or the Stadium. Some people have complained about waiting for your car to be driven over by the valets, but as long as you call the front desk while you're getting ready or before your shower, they always seem to have it there on time. Oh and the street noise isn't really that bad, we were on the second floor this time, and our suite happened to be above Julios Barrios (great little Mexican bar), and it still wasn't too bad... and really if you don't want any noise, you shouldn't be staying on Whyte Avenue...
“Excellent location southside close to University !”
The hotel is very well located and right on Whyte Avenue - just blocks from the U. of A. The breakfast is a tad skimpy and having to request other than skim milk was a nuisance. The staff are #1 - friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The car valet service is second to none and incredibly convenient.Good choice of hotel without having to go downtown.
“One of my favourites”
Love the location, staff was delightful, valet parking and breakfast included. The Metterra is in the heart of Edmonton's colourful party district, Whyte Avenue. It is a boutique hotel, comfortable, with striking decor, good breakfast and great coffee, and afternoon wine tastings.
“Great value”
We were very satisfied with this hotel overall. Enjoyed the wine tasting and breakfast. The only downside was that there was no free valet parking due to construction on Whyte Ave.
“BEST Modern Hotel in Edmonton!!!”
My husband and I have stayed at the Meterra Hotel on Whyte on numerous occasions. It's our favorite hotel in Edmonton. We just got married and had our out-of-town guests stay here and they loved it! Whyte Ave is where all the action is at in Edmonton. We too stayed their on our wedding night and we highly recommend this hotel. We promise you will not be disapointed.
“Love this Hotel”
I go to Edmonton every 6 weeks for business and always stay here. It is a wonderful hotel and location.
